Nothing too inspiring, VR look defensively well organised if nothing else. Reading up on Emery, it does seem like he's quite flexible when it comes to formations, I think any new manager will need that to find a way to get something from our lot. I thought they looked quite good going forward. (But I’m used to watching us). 2nd half something changed. Either young boys changed their tactics or Villarreal were more cautious. They looked a shambles 2nd half and continually gave the ball away. Lucky to hang on. Emery was all over the touch line screaming and gesturing trying to sort it out.
