OTF 7295
How much would you rather having Rafa Benitez over Frank Lampard in the position Everton are currently in? I don't even dislike Everton with any sort of ferocity, as Pickford has been very generous to us, they're just so woefully bad currently that there seems no way out of it for them.

OTF 7295
He's come in "and changed that", interesting take on reality there. Everton were 16th, 6 points above the relegation spots when Rafa was shown the door. They're now in 17th, 1 point from the relegation zone.
Howay 12496
It’s just a good thing they brought in Alli and Van De Beek, two lads who have really looked up for the relegation fight. 1

Burnley pick up a point is no benefit to us. Do you mean 3rd bottom? You need to stop worrying about us finishing 3rd bottom for a fucking start. But also, there are three points available at the start of every game. If it's a draw, one of those points disappears into the ether. Every time two of the teams below us play one another, we should want a draw because of that disappearing point. Exception being maybe Norwich or Watford, we could be fine with them winning againt the teams outside the relegation zone cos they're sunk. You want Brentford to win cos you're worrying about the wrong thing. Brentford winning increases the chances of someone (them) overtaking us. Draws are no good to ANY of the the teams below us wrt them overtaking us. Edited March 12, 2022 by Gemmill

If I shouldn’t worry about Burnley as our safety is a done deal, then why worry about Brentford overtaking us? Brentford look out of it also so it’s really about Everton, Leeds and Burnley for third place. You’ve been concentrating for weeks on nicking a point here and there to get us safe. Id still prefer the 10 point gap going into tomorrows game. Reducing to 9 is just an extra point needed to reach guaranteed safety. But even if you still consider it a possibility then a draw is good because, as Gemmill says it mires two teams below us. Brentford would be 3 points behind with us having a game in hand even if we lose to Chelsea. Likewise, Burnley basically need wins (and fast) to have any realist chance of overhauling us.
