Holden McGroin 7013
With Titus out we have 0 centre backs. With Elliott a liablility there, I wonder if we could push Rambo into the middle and possibly play someone else on the right. Who could do a job? Nobby? Scotty P? Gate? janu 0
I think Nobby could do a job as RB. Against Everton I would prefer a back four of: Nobby - Ramage - Boumsong - Babayaro But think it will be: Ramage - Boumsong - Elliott - Babayaro

He's a legend though, he can play anywhere! 99730[/snapback] I still rate him and he's looked much better since we've actually started to play a bit of football. However, he's not the quickest, not good in the air, can't/won't tackle and bottles 50-50's (I know he's not that sort of player) so I don't see how he'd do a job at full-back. I know he's played there for Peru on occasion but that's a different kettle of fish.

But what would you prefer: Elliott (with Ramage as RB) or Ramage (with Nobby as RB) as CB? Edited February 23, 2006 by janu
Guest alex
Couldn't Craig Moore or Stephen Carr play there?

sweetleftpeg 0
I think Solano would make a pretty poor RB, plus he'd be a waste there when he's been our best attacking option of late imo. If Carr was fit then I'd be sticking Ramage CB, no questions, I've no doubt the kid would excel there. However, it's going to have to be Elliott for the foreseeable future. Both are slow, won't win anything in the air, low on confidence. Beattie & co would love it. PS. According to physioroom, Carr is suffering from a sports hernia and will be back in 9 days... I didn't say it was the perfect solution, but it's the only feasible one. Taylor knackered, Moore knackered, Bramble knackered, Carr knackered. The only over option you have is playing Ramage CB and putting Elliott at RB, which would be just as bad.

It also means playing Bowyer right midfield, which I'd rather not to be honest.
