Not sure either, thought he looked like a similar player to Michael Carrick when he came through. Very tidy on the ball, read the game well, could break up play and a canny range of passing. Seems to have taken a backwards step, a yard too slow and his passing is poor. I'm hoping it's just a slump in form as there was a player there.

Don't think I've seen such a dramatic reversal in form/ability since James Perch reinveted himself as Perchinho, though that was in our favour.

Sadly. We get one peformance where our players put some effort in and we're grateful for it, almost cherish it.

 

That said Hayden for current Sean Longstaff is a big loss.
