Scottish Mag 3 Posted August 4, 2005 Share Posted August 4, 2005 From .com JJ missed out Having apparently been passed fit and included in the squad for Deportivo announced on Tuesday, the following day saw no sign of midfielder Jermaine Jenas - Martin Brittain deputising. As yet there's been no public explanation, leading to numerous conspiracy theories springing up, most notably the fact that Jenas has now avoided being cup-tied for the rest of the season by not appearing tonight - his runout against Dubnica not counting, as that was in an earlier stage of the Intertoto Cup. Notionally his value would then be higher to a club looking to buy a midfielder in advance of a European campaign - with the Champions League deadline being Thursday evening (4th August).
