I have to admit I was in Currys just before this shit and was amazed by the amount of TV you get for your money nowadays. I was after a new one for my kitchen, turns out a minimum size is 32 inches now. 20 years ago that was a large TV, the first few years of my marriage my wife had to put up with 15 inches (oo err).

Our conservatory is the 2nd TV room and then there’s 3 kids so always rotation depending where you are in the pecking order.

3 kids- oof!

How do they cope with you?

I'd have went for something other than Sony (well I am), tend to get a lot more TV from Samsung for same money, why did you go for that model was it a good deal or something

Watched shit loads of reviews from hdvtest, a forums, rtings etc.

Seems to beat all the other competition such as Samsung Q90r etc on overall picture quality.

I would have gone for oled but too worried about screen burn in.

Seems that this model with the x1 processor and android 9 update is about as good as you can get for led at around £1100

I can u sets tans going cheaper but as I will not change for about 5 years then this ticks most of the boxes for main room.

Brother in law has an IG OLED 4K, its a belter.  We are looking at a new one so my go similar.  Its currently £700 cheaper than when he bought it too

Beautiful TV’s if you can avoid screen burn in. Most can, but I’m not 100% sure the risks is worth it at those price points especially as not covered by warranty.

There’s also a great tool on amazon and lots of online shops where you can actually look through your phone and view any size TV on the wall in your living room

What's this sorcery?

Just click on any telly on Amazon eg Sony xg950 and it says “view in my room” underneath.

Click the button, point your phone camera at the wall and the new tv just appears on your wall!

I just tried that sitting about 20ft away from my wall and a 65 inch still looks ridiculous in my living room.

Just need everyone to go back to school and work so I can try pornhub.

Tidy up the cables man. Or can't you afford them, what with being on the breadline?

(fuck, didn't see Alex's pithier jab)

CT's a daily mail stereotype, but not the one he wants to be. He's the charva in poverty, claiming state benefits, even getting the government to pay for his weight loss schemes, yet has a massive fuck off flat screen telly.  Someone should report him to the paper.

Not to pile on, but seriously, at least take a straight photo.

Could this be the week that you get the hang of this technology lark? No, it could not.
