hijacking ManU’s hopes? Loving the sound of that

Newcastle launch ambitious £60m bid to hijack Ralf Rangnick's first Man Utd transfer

Newcastle have already set about putting their January transfer plans into action with the signing of Kieran Trippier, but now the Toon are ready to hijack Man Utd's hopes of landing Amadou Haidara

Newcastle's mega-rich owners are reportedly willing to break the bank in order to bring in Manchester United target Amadou Haidara this month. The midfielder has impressed in Germany with his performances for RB Leipzig.

At 23 years of age, Haidara is seen as one of the brightest talents in world football with United boss Ralf Rangnick a strong admirer.

He's currently away with Mali at the Africa Cup of Nations though, which makes a move more challenging this month.

Talks of Haidara joining the Red Devils intensified last month with Leipzig CEO Oliver Mintzlaff admitting that Rangnick "loves" the midfielder.

Haidara has also hinted at a possible switch to Old Trafford as he named United as his "favourite team as a kid".

But prising Haidara away from Leipzig may come down to who comes in with the bigger offer.

It's been reported that a £33million release clause in his contract will become active at the end of the season.

However, Newcastle appear keen to make a move this month and steal Haidara away from the likes of United.

According to the Daily Mail, Newcastle are moving forward with their intention to sign Haidara.

It is claimed that they're willing to make Haidara a huge contract offer worth £160,000-a-week, which would see him become the club's highest earner.

A deal to sign Haidara this month may reportedly cost in excess of £80m with his contract and the type of bid needed to tempt Leipzig into selling.

Signing a central midfielder in the January window is a top priority for Newcastle with a couple weeks left.

They've already solved two issues in signing Trippier and Wood, although the latter is yet to be confirmed by Newcastle.

While Wood is expected to be on Tyneside in time to face Watford this weekend, another striker could also be signed.

It is claimed that talks are ongoing with Reims on a move to sign Hugo Ekitike, who is earning rave reviews in Ligue 1.

With Callum Wilson facing a prolonged spell on the sidelines, Newcastle want to bring in a number of attacking options to help their relegation battle.

If Ekitike does become Newcastle's third signing of the month, he may well be swiftly followed by the capture of Haidara before the January window closes.

Not Leicester's Fofana though. It's a player called Seko Fofana who plays for Lens. He's a box to box midfielder. He's been in amazing form over in France supposedly.

these both sound very promising.

howay 247, do your stuff.

 Not sure even a bed wetting post from me can help, it looks like they’ve snapped into gear and are a run away train now. Get the lot of them done in time for Saturday and team bed wetter will have stiff rather than wet sheets.

Second bid for Carlos rejected

Not surprising if they value him at £40m and we’ve only offered £28m.

That would be a superb signing, he looked fantastic at ajax.

Give him a manager who trusts him and the right place in the team he'll be excellent.

The way Man U have been playing Rangnick would be very foolish to let anyone who might be able to do a job for him leave. Can't see it, and I also have no idea how good a player he is given how little he's played since they've bought him.
