So what more needs to be done before we conclude the window has been a success?

Is

Tripper

Wood

Bruno (tbc)

Enough to keep us up?

I’m not sure. While better than anything Ashley would muster, I still think the squad looks vulnerable. Feel like we could do with another three on top of those.

As above.  TBH I think that's all the business we do.

Burn as CB IMO will be the one.

If it is that IMO I think we have enough to stay up then.  Certainly a more robust squad.  Don't forget Fede is looking like he is back from injury so that's a bonus.

Knight Ryder reckons Fede could be one of the ones allowed to leave, which I really don’t understand

There was talk about him having long covid. There must be something up as it doesn’t really add up why he’s been used so little, even accounting for injuries. He did really well against Norwich but it was against a poor side happy to sit back, even against 10 men, for most of the match. But on the evidence of that you’d think he’d be worth having as cover at least until the summer. Even if we sign a CB it still means we’re an injury away from playing Clark or Lascelles

@Gemmill's homies are impressed

 I love the bloke saying he doesn’t suit our style of play, clearly someone that has basically never watched us. Howe is trying very clearly to institute a possession based style where the ball is progressed from CM, we just don’t have the players and Guimeraes is EXACTLY the type of player we need  but aye some CB that Liverpool have paid an absurd amount of money for is a way better signing.

I thought Craig Hope made a good point on the TF podcast about Lingard. He was saying it might be one that suddenly happens in the last hour of the window, because what you can't do is be trying to buy Dan Burn for c£10m after you've just paid £15m to loan Jesse Lingard for 3.5 months.

You need to wait til the last minute to show that level of desperation. Which I thought was a good point - it's worth a listen actually, he speaks really well about the current situation at the club, the Saudi trip, etc.

Can never work out who the fuck watches this shit? Sky must just make crap TV like this so they can clip it and stick it on Youtube these days. Long gone the days of a Soccerette, Grimsby Town crossbar challenge and watching Lee Trundle spin Championship full backs silly in showboat.

Not to say I knew anything about this Bruno before a few days ago like, but laughable that these bunch of twats come across as if they ever heard of him start of the week either, or even know anything about him now.

Goes on about not being able to progress the ball - just saying things, repeating phrases that he's heard other people use to some how piece together something that resembles an opinion. Have watched quite a few of his match performances and it's obvious that he can 'progress the ball'. Knobhead goes on likes he's some sort of James Perch getting Brazilian caps, playing for Lyon and going for £40M.

file "progress the ball" alongside "low block"

yeah, i listened to that too. good stuff - hope talks for england but seemed to make a lot of sense.

the TF podcast is canny. though i did just finish another wraith/gibbo/supermac roundtable. even newcastle natter would be music to my ears at this stage.

What utter cunts. Top 6 sycophants

They’ll soon have to change their mindset around players like him being ‘too good’ for NUFC. Which is essentially what they meant.
