It’s going to be a real meltdown at Southampton if we are going to field a handful of new players the next time we play them.

you love to see it

any other centre backs/fullbacks/ goalkeepers/ midfielders/forwards of decent quality on our radar. i'm sure we could get an entirely better 1-11 if we had the minerals to do it...

an entirely new starting 11 against southampton, all on over 100k a week, if only to piss off their manager

Fair enough. I saw it was retweeted by one of the local journos so thought it was legit.

They get most of their ‘info’ off people who make stuff up

Apparently Digne is definitely not happening according to that Fabrizio Romano (who I admittedly have no clue who he is).

We desperately need a striker by the time we play Watford.  Its probably our most important game of the season and I'd be shitting myself going into it with just Gayle.

I think Romano is fine, but I think in this instance he’s making a leap to look more ITK than he is. He’s saying this expecting Chelsea to sign him then will say he knew, in reality it’s ongoing - from what I know Chelsea have interest but it’s for a loan, Everton want to sell permanently, we have interest in a permanent deal but haven’t bid either yet. If Digne has decided he absolutely won’t come to Newcastle it would be news to our side from what I’ve heard. Again not saying he will come to us but think Romano is making a leap here for sure.

The Athletic is saying that Barca want us to "help them out" and buy De Jong  On one hand, we should oblige but on the other, fuck having another De Jong anywhere near us.

 Imagine if they meant Luuk.

A few years ago, I was really surprised by a man who did not know anything and who seemed to get absolutely all the signings right. Gianluca Di Marzio. He put breaking news and news on Twitter, with exclusive photos of the players ... And they ended up being fulfilled.

The problem? The world of transfers is very complex. There are transfers that are closed, in the absence of only a signature, or a medical examination, and in the end they cannot be finalized. I know of some cases, like Cazorla. When he played for Arsenal, he spent a few days in Madrid. We have a mutual friend, we ate together ... He had undergone a medical examination with the Atletico. And he never signed. Something similar happened to Negredo in 2014 when he already had everything agreed.

But Di Marzio seemed to get everything right. At that time I was working at El Mundo (the national newspaper with the most readers in Spain), covering Atlético de Madrid. It was 2014, the year of the World Cup in Brazil. And I remember seeing Di Marzio on the Brazilian beaches with players and former players as if he were everyone's friend. That guy had ties to everyone.

The bad thing is that he realized that what he sold the most were simple unsubstantiated rumors. He spent a few years writing absolute garbage and was no longer reliable. Until he came back on the right path.

For a couple of years, Fabrizio Romano, who is an apprentice of Di Marzio, has appeared. They worked together. Romano collaborates with clubs and agents. He may fail in signings, but everything he says that he is negotiating is usually true. Regrettably. Or almost everything. His apprentice is Matteo Moretto.

Romano is just a btech Howay tbh

 Reading my post it sounded a bit ITK, I’m not ITK it’s all basically third hand info tbh. I just think a lot of these journalists make leaps they hope will prove in the long run, I can’t see how Romano has some inside track into what Digne is thinking.

Some real Jedi/Padawan stuff going on with these journalists in the foreign lands.

Our local lads learned their trade drinking beer on the back of the bus.

If any of you follow NBA and know Woj, I think Romano is more or less with him.

Romano works with tems, agents, federations... I am not sure if UEFA is inside too, but they need a man make it as reliable as possible. For example... He have been in some private jets with the players when they are transfer to another team... Or in presentations.

I'll show you Fabrizio Romano (The man in the left.... obviously) (The girl is Grelmoss in Instagram).
