There must be a new super strain going about because I’ve finally succumbed to the dreaded plague.

 

Went skiing last Sunday and started to feel under the weather on Friday. Just cold symptoms, nothing out of the ordinary. Got home today and thought I’d do a test just to be sure before seeing the family and finally got the dreaded double red line.

 

So after a week on holiday I have to spend a few days in isolation while still being fit enough to enjoy a beer. It’s an absolute result tbh.

I've somehow still avoided it. Fuck knows how. Missus and all four kids have had it, sake for my extended family and my main social circle all got it pretty fucking bad at a party I also attended. Guessing I've had it and was one of the lucky fuckers that was either symptomless or wrote off the symptoms as the usual mild to moderate hangover.

@Isegrim, if I had it before Sunday and have given it to you, I'm sorry. Whereas if I got it at the pub on Sunday (which seems more likely) then I blame NUFC for making me actually leave the house for a change.
