He'd originally been granted the right by the Aussie federal govt to enter the country and play in the tournament. But, possibly while he was in the air, the Victoria govt came out and said "nah fuck that, if he can convince us that there's a medical reason that he hasn't been vaccinated, he can stay, otherwise he gets to fuck off."

Foxy Bingo must have been tweeting between the two decisions, the fucking attention seeking bellwhiff.

Absolutely mad that he's turned a failed acting career into a fake activist one. What's he gonna do when this all goes away?

The Australian regime of "if you say you have a legitimate medical exemption please provide evidence".

The best but is he's absolutely desperate to play here because he generally crushes it and was a super strong chance of winning and going clear on 21 slams. An amazing tennis player but a bell end on the court and it seems off it.

I work from home, have been since early 2020. I'm young, fit and healthy. I took the vaccine because medical professionals expressed with copious amounts of evidence that being vaccinated was going to result in the best possible health outcomes for all, especially the elderly and the unwell. I sought out getting it as soon as possible (had to wait a while due to my age) and was vaccinated with both doses. When I'm due my booster I will be getting it. I continue to work from home. I go out to the shops for food etc, visit family (including my parents who were another tick in the box for getting vaccinated - they too were vaccinated as soon as possible, they're retired) and don't do a whole bunch more apart from playing social sport when restrictions allow it.

I'm not a doctor or in health care so I listen to what the experts in the field advise, doing my own reading along the way and looking at the countless example countries around the world where the results of a variety of different approaches are evident. In particular I have been interested in what's happening in England because through this forum I have a conduit to it.

You took the vaccine after weighing it up and doing the right thing for you.

I read about novavax and decided that I wanted to take that vaccine. It then got delayed and delayed.

In the meantime I am doing everything else that medical advice suggests which is not socialising, wearing a mask and keeping fit while I wait for the vaccine that I am comfortable taking.

I haven’t criticised anyone else’s personal choice.

If that is “too controversial” for people here then it really does start to look like a bit like brainwashing because it really isn’t a very radical approach

He was granted a visa based on information that was provided before departing ie. saying I'm medically exempt from being vaccinated because I have had coronavirus within the last x weeks or possibly something to that effect. Then upon landing he's been asked to provide evidence of the information provided and has not been able to, hence the visa has been cancelled. I think that's approximately the summary.

Is he a little rich, posh kid? I know nothing about him other than my sister thinks he's GREAT. Which is generally a pretty good sign that someone can be written off as a human being.

If you're on about fox he's the son of actor James Fox, nephew of actor Edward Fox, cousin of actor Emilia Fox and I'm guessing he's been around enough well to do folk before becoming a professional Knacker. I'm assuming he got any parts because of his family name if his acting is like his current persona?

Why do remainer/ lefty/ pro vaxxers types (I have no idea why that pattern seems to follow) always need to write people off?

Like relatively minor things massively offend them.

this is why I started the Blair thread cause it takes a lot for me to dismiss a person (starting an unjustifiable war is one of them) even if I disagree with them on profound things

genuine question

Please don't change my words, my post above properly enunciates why I took the vaccine.

The everything else you refer to is not an "instead of" being vaccinated, it's an "as well as". It's of course good that you are following other directives at least even though you're missing the most important one.

It's a radical approach when if everyone did the same countless medical systems would be horrifically overrun and likely millions more would die. You plainly don't understand that it is not just a personal choice when the impact of that choice is not just on the individual making it. Unless you're planning on permanently isolating from society in which case your approach would no longer be radical.

I think I've said all that needs to be said on this.

I mean, I was making a joke about my sister.

I don't consider myself pro-vax btw. I prefer the term "capable of intelligent thought".

It's like being called pro-maths.

Said there was no such thing as white privilege while ignoring his own nepotism based career.

It's not just him of course, the extent of nepotism/inbreeding in British acting is fucking shocking.

Nepotism isn’t race based though?

Seriously though we don’t know whether or not mass vaccination is a good idea or not. It’s never been done on this scale. It’s possible it might turn out to be the wrong move like over subscribing antibiotics

There is no good reason not to trust the science. That's really all it comes down to. It could be that we're wrong, but not based on any particularly strong data or information that is presently available. It's like when Quiff came out and said that the Chinese government had 100% made this in a lab - maybe it did, but he was making that claim on the basis of no evidence or factual information whatsoever.

I don't know why it's so difficult to trust that people who have built their entire careers around this sort of work actually know what they're doing, but there we are.

There’ll always be something. Before covid it was pizzagate, before that 9/11, before that alien cover ups, etc. Unlikely he’ll have the same audience though

You'd like all my family:

Mam

Stepdad

Dad

Stepmam

Sister

Brother in Law

All unvaccinated and all voted Brexit.

All also come to me any time they have any questions that require assistance beyond basic maths, technology, computers, pretty much anything.

Luckily, Facebook was able to provide them with everything they needed to know about Brexit, the pandemic and vaccinations, so I was no use to them for any of that.

I'm going to my mam's this weekend to teach her (for the fiftieth time) how to use a personal finance app. Hopefully she can help me if I've got any questions about Covid stats or how the vaccine works.

My stepmam btw, can't fucking stand her. Proper gobby bitch, just permanently set to BROADCAST any time I'm in her company, which I keep to an absolute minimum.

Anyway they've got a static caravan and they spend about 4 days a week every week during spring/summer at it. Little group of people there that do the same, and they all get together for bbqs, etc.

Except since the others on the site have discovered that they're unvaccinated, they've been excluded from all of the socialising. Outdoor stuff, fine, but anything in anyone's caravan, the doors are fucking locked to her and my dad.

I don't think he really gives a shit but it is FUCKING KILLING her, which in turn I am absolutely LOVING. It's the only topic of conversation I'm happy to listen to her on.

She wants my dad to spend tens of thousands to shift the caravan to another site now that they're basically the site lepers.

If it's not clear, this was one of my highlights of 2021.

If they do shift the caravan, I'll be popping over there and getting on the tannoy.

It is because the establishment uses nepotism and school identity to exclude minorities and other unwanteds - obviously an added class element as well of course.

Genuine observation.....

In two or so days you've come across as the pub bore who wants a debate who nobody can be arsed with. Obviously it's different online and not exactly the same but it's the same vibe you're giving off. I don't think anyone is pro-vaccine on here just as I'm not pro-any medication that's been recommended to me by the medical profession it's just one those things you get on with without going down a rabbit hole. You've made your points, had more than enough replies yet you're still going on about it, still being the turd that won't flush. I won't even answer your question if you can call it a question, about writing off people but I'd just say based on your views you'd be tolerated on here and just have a bit piss taking going on now again if you had some redeeming features (® Ronny Gill) just as CT'S had it with both barrels in the past but has something about him where we just can get on with him and have a laugh when we can. You could be like that as well but not going on like this. Just to be clear to you, there'll be no back and forths on this post. Fuck that.
