Guess who my sister thinks should be PM. I'm not fucking joking either. I tried to have a sensible conversation about how much of a deplorable cunt he was the other night, but she thinks he's this superhero who just wants the best for people. Absolutely unreal. 

Honestly, my sister didn't give a single shit about politics all her life, couldn't have named a single MP 12 months ago, wouldn't have known who the leader of the Labour Party is. Now she thinks she knows it all and ALL of her heroes are utter fucking shit heads.

Just back from the Metrocentre the majority weren't wearing masks. People wandering around not keeping their distance. The virus is going mental & people are wandering around like its disappeared. Its absolutely crazy.

This is anecdotal but everyone I know who has contracted it in the last week or so (quite a few people) have all said no worse than a cold. That’s not to say it won’t be a lot worse than that for an unlucky few but I think people are feeling braver because they’re treble jabbed plus we’ve lived with the cunt for two years.

The scale of the threat posed by the Omicron variant was laid bare by government scientists last night as they warned that there are now hundreds of thousands of infections every day. That daily number could reach between 600,000 and 2 million by the end of the month if new restrictions are not brought in immediately.

The government’s SPI-M-O group of scientists, which reports to the Scientific Advisory Group for Emergencies (Sage), also warned that, based on their modelling, hospitalisations could peak between 3,000 and 10,000 a day and deaths at between 600 and 6,000 a day.

Yeah thats why they're pushing for  a lockdown before Xmas they said after Xmas is to late.

It’s a numbers game. Even if the majority of cases are mild, a tiny percentage of those numbers leading to hospitalisations will be curtains for the health service.

I was hoping the vaccines would stop hospitalisations and deaths soaring to the extent we saw at the start of the year. But if those projections are even close then we need tighter restrictions.
