If we were to win our first major trophy in 50 years- the FA cup- under Glenn Roeder. It would be typical Newcastle though, wouldn't it? Appoint all these managers in hope of some glory and a caretaker comes along and does the job in six months.

to be fair Lawro has torn Souness apart over his insistance to perservere with Boumsong and Babayaro

If we won the FA cup you can guarentee either Souness or one of his mates will be in there taking credit from Roeder and implying they did all the ground work.

 

In fact whatever we do next season (and even this) under Roeder and the new boss we will be told (by those who never watched us or who are just morons) that its all been possible because Souness "sorted out the dressing room" and build a lovely, stable, proper, real mans football club etc.

 

Whereas anything we do this or next season is entirely in spite of Souness and will be a massive tribute to Roeder or the new boss.
