Dear Andrew,  my expiration date is probably closer than a lot of people and I just don't have the time  or patience to mess with such a list.

My interest is only in Newcastle United , its players, and progress if any.:)

I’m not sure even many of us are feeling that pessimistic. I expect us to be down there in the relegation mix, but will we be worse than Burnley, Sheffield United, Brighton, Villa etc? I think we might end up 15th-17th, if the new signings hit the ground running. Reach for the stars

It all depends on the start he gets. I can easily see us having five points after the first nine matches of the season and I don't think we have what it takes to recover from that.

By the same token, we were predicted 8/9th finishes the season McClaren took over and we went down. They put a lot of weight on the off-the-field events which is why their predictions are so lopsided.

I'm already sick of hearing about the Athletic.  Not so sure their predictions are wrong though.

I've signed up to give it a go. Waugh is their main NUFC reporter but Walker and Caulkin are going to be doing some stuff as well. It's just handy to have a central point for some good football analysis now that the Fish has become a wet nurse.

I just think our luck depends a lot on the front 3 which are all fairly unproven. I think Longstaff will start well and the Manchester United link will continue until they get him in January.

Well then who was predicting an 8th/9th place finish?

Lots of “surprise” talk here

https://amp.theguardian.com/football/blog/2015/aug/05/premier-league-2015-16-season-predictions

Telegraph had us 12th, even Lawrenson had us top half. So, not quite the 9th I remember but clearly people thought we’d do alright because we spent money.

Zaha now looks like hes trying to force a move from Palace, can't see how their business over the summer has them in 14th on that table.
