Dr Gloom 23150
Just now, Alex said: I know but he’s not exactly Roberto Baggio, threading balls through the eye of a needle to the centre forward in that position. When I’ve seen him play centrally it was in s different formation to the current one but he was the furthest forward of a midfield 3 and chasing and harrying. So playing as one of the ‘8s’ shouldn’t be a million miles away from that. i agree, particularly if Bruno gets a two match suspension and we don’t loan any midfielders last minute because we don’t have many options other than moving trippier, hall or schar into midfield or throwing in one of the kids - both seem unlikely
Dr Gloom 23150
I also think injuries and suspensions mean we might be better off tweaking the system but Howe doesn’t seem to want to deviate from tried and tested

Optimistic Nut 398
Will miss him. Favourite Miggy moment. Middle of his hot streak where everything he hit with his left was going in, Spurs away Joelinton bows to polish his boot...Miggy the gormless twat lifts his right foot up. Joey's reaction like, "not that foot man you daft twat".

Holden McGroin 7289
Goodbye Miggy. He always gave 100% and had one amazing season that propelled us to CL football. He'll be welcomed back with open arms in the Toon.

Gemmill 48567
Bye bye Miggy. You took the same approach to learning English as you took to kicking the ball with your other foot, but as mentioned you had that mental run where you couldn't miss and it was great. Good luck in Atlanta. 👍
Dazzler 11258
Shame his best mate isn’t there anymore. He’s fucked off to Canada - probably via an ICE van knowing the yanks.
Dr Gloom 23150
He and ASM were standout players in a poor team. He played out of his skin when we finished fourth. He always had pace to burn but he managed to add some absolute wonder goals in the process. Great memories. He worked as hard as anyone else in the team. Shame he couldn’t keep that form going and it is clearly the right time for him to move on but I loved his attitude. Good luck with the next chapter Miggy!
Isegrim 10160
He was the first bright spark for a long time when he signed for us. His ability often didn’t match his efforts but he was still a lot better than a lot fans said. They will move on to a different scapegoat though.
toonotl 3329
It's nice that he got the chance to go out with a win and the away support singing his name after the game. Good luck to him. He'll be a top player in the US league.

But he had to hit it on his right from a tight angle, so never likely to score Edited January 27 by Dr Gloom

Aye, speaks volumes for his attitude and aptitude that the club that sold him to us want him back 6 years on. Wish him all the best.
David Kelly 1328
Decent deal for everyone and good luck to a lad who always ran his bollocks off for the team and provided some light in the dark times and wonderful moments in the season we finished 4th (as well as that goal against PSG). I am a bit concerned this leaves us short on the right side though. Murphy is having an exceptional run at the moment (some might say similar to Miggy's from a couple of seasons ago) but I still have doubts over his ability to keep it going, after all it's not that long ago he was getting jeered off the pitch after putting in another stinking performance. I hope he can because no one else seems to really want to play there.
wykikitoon 22067
To say he was standout shows how shite our squad was.

If Murphy can continue anything like his form from the last couple of months over the rest of the season it might prove to be a masterstroke that allows us to go all in on a new right attacker in the summer. If it goes wrong, it could result in us having a poor end to the season and losing Isak and maybe others due to the lack of Eurpoean football. Kid Dynamite 7447
This is Murphy's 7th season at the club and it's only the last 3 months he's managed to play consistently well. We've been here before with Almiron.
