Bombadil 0
Robson done well to keep his gob shut until Souness left tbh. 90475[/snapback] Just think of the crap that leech Douggie Hall came out with - "he would have relegated us!". Robson will always be entitled to voice his opinion on the club IMO, in fact he's probably more entitled to it than most of our former players/managers who comment on us in the media. Guest alex
.COM really seems to have gone to the dogs lately like. The bit about us being 15th when Robson left is particulary galling as I can recall them having a go at Robson for suggesting we were bottom of the league when he arrived (which we were) as we were in a false position (which I actually agree with, but Robson was still right). Especially seeing as 15th was also a false position. The point about the Caldwells is ridiculous too. I think Robson had lost the plot by the end and obviously some of his comments about players are biased but .COM seem to have a real bee in their bonnet about someone who did a very good job for the Toon as manager. But there can be no denying the fact that even though we didn't win anything while he was in charge, he brought back the good times and he did a fantastic job - and it's not like he was simply a good manager, his love and passion for the club was great to see as well. The way NUFC.com constantly try to get in a few digs at him is utterly pathetic.

It's hard to see how Robson could have been more dignified than he has been given the circumstances and the comments he's had to endure from that wanker Douglas Hall (who he should have sued imo). Not only that, but they defended Souness, or at least turned a blind eye to him, right until the end. Let's see how dignified that tosser will be over the coming months or years. Holden McGroin 6783
Wonder if Dougie is going to come out with "If we kept Souness we would have been relegated" line soon....
TheInspiration 1
Just look what Caldwell has done to the Sunderland defence - he's given them extra options in the event of injuries. Looks like SBR didn't think of this.
