Tdansmith 3259
Thanks a lot. I'll check them out. I've seen Breaking Bad and have heard Ozark is similar so I'll be checking that out first.
The Fish 10972
Went to visit a few mates last weekend. One couple brought their little laddy, who's been sick. Now the rest of the group are sick as dogs, throwing up and pissing out our bumholes. So I need a film to watch this afternoon as I have a little pity party on the sofa. Any suggestions? Rayvin 5301
The last time I offered a movie recommendation to someone it was well received, so I'll offer the same suggestion now - Snatch. Interpret that as the film or something else entirely, but whichever way you go it should be enjoyable.
The Fish 10972
Yeah might give that a rewatch. Cheers
David Kelly 1260
Baby Driver and Free Fire are both on Kodi and well worth a watch if you've not seen them. I really enjoyed Skull Island too.

Park Life 71
Blade Runner 2049 Pretty average. 6.4/10 The original is still better. Got of bit tired of the over the top visuals and the lack of feeling it was actually a city of the future they were in and not a couple of sets. David Kelly 1260
I thought Blade Runner was really good. The visuals were superb and that lass off War Dogs was worth the price of admission on her own. I would say at this stage I prefer the original (for Rutger Hauer alone) but then again I didn't like it at all first time I saw it so on repeated viewings this has a real chance of surpassing it. Wind River. Jeremy Renner as a tracker who finds a dead native American girl raped and dead in the snow, and then helps the FBI track down her killer. It's written and directed by the guy who wrote Sicario and Hell Or High Water and tbh I think I enjoyed it more than both of those.

Much more deserving of the best film Oscar than moonlight, I thought.

I thought the new Blade Runner was really well done, while I agree with you that the first one was superior, I feel like my preference may be due to the age I was when I saw it. I thought the new one was a 9/10, it could have easily been a phone in for the studio but it was carefully put together to continue the story. It asks many of the same questions (what is it to be human? do robots have souls? ) but in different ways, I thought RG was really good in it as was HF. Agree with David Kelly that it will continue to bear fruit on further viewing, planning on seeing it again.

Believe me I'm not happy I wasn't blown away by it. Probably been looking forward to it too much. Am going to see it again. Think the visuals were sensational but had problems with Gosling (always with the deadpan) and the bad pacing. I can see why it flopped in America but I also can't see where the 200 million budget went.... Edited October 12, 2017 by Park Life
