Howay 12496
Looking forward to watching this. Is it available anywhere yet? Haha just came out over here in the states, so no doubt it'll be up soon. Quality movie mind, a bit long but it's enjoyable enough to be lengthy. SCOREBOARD1 0
Tintin. Poor. Was very disappointed as I liked the books and cartoons as a kid. 3/10 Edited January 1, 2013 by SCOREBOARD1
Holden McGroin 6613
Is that any good then? I was gonna watch it, but if it was shit I didn't want the hassle of trying to explain to her why it was on the Recently Watched bit on Netflix. I preempted that with the missus by telling her about it shortly afterwards. Aye, its worth a watch. Not a nipple in sight but rather an actual serious look at lives after porn. Christmas Tree 4729
Saw two clips for forthcoming movies that look great. One looks like Superman gets the Bat Man treatment in Man of Steel The other is a true story based on the 2004 Tsunami called impossible.
luckyluke 2
The Hobbit - pretty good actually. Saw it in "normal" (no IMAX/3D/48 frames).

sammynb 3368
Re-watched 'Chopper' over the hols. What a great film. Or movie, if you prefer. Time to rewatch Bad Boy Bubby for the matching set Alex. Also have you seen Two Hands? Bryan Brown, a very young Heath Ledger and an equally young Rose Byrne. Kings Cross stubby drinking and wearing gangsters.
Alex 35120
Funnily enough I was thinking about watching Bad Boy Bubby again too after watching Chopper. Classic I haven't seen that Bryan Brown film although I recently thought of The Shiralee (it was a two-part TV with Brown in it, along with the bloke who played Alf Stewart) which I saw on telly over here about 20-25 years ago. No idea why it sprang to mind like but I looked it up and the book looks decent too going off reviews etc. No doubt you'll be familiar with it. luckyluke 2
My dad has finally outgrown his habit of calling DVDs 'discs'. He continues to persist with his own attempts at colloquialisation though - asking the butcher if he had any 'pigs' [in blankets] the other week, for example. Anyone's dad a complete mad bastard? Gemmill 44996
My brother in law was telling me that my dad was espousing conspiracy theories about 9/11 recently. My dad is the last person I would ever expect to hear shit like that from, so it's really weird to hear about it. I hope he doesn't try to tell me about them. My Dad is a bit mentally challenged at times, My nephew was playing in a box at Christmas, so my Dad decided he wanted a go as well. He's also got to that stage where either his brain function is buggered or his interest in getting things right has evaporated, because he blithely calls things by the wrong name or by the wrong pronunciation... Part of me think it's just to piss me off
