Christmas Tree 4858
Watched a cracking film tonight called Gone. Only had a rating of 5.7 on IMDB but this is one seriously decent film that sets a pace in the first five minutes and keeps it going right to the last scene. A sort of Shutter Island meets Silence of the Lambs. The lead role is taken by Anna Seyfired (Mama Mia ) and she puts in a fantastic performance. Of course it isnt going to make any critics lists, but I would rate it around the seven mark and it had me and our lass on the edge of our seats all night. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1838544/ A MUST SEE

brummiemag1 0
Watched Mesrine parts 1 and 2 (part 1 - Killer Instinct and part 2 - Public Enemy #1). True story about France's most well known and notorious criminal - fantastic films, great acting, thought provoking dialogue, would put the second part in my top 20 films ever, it was that good and the first part was really good as well. Don't know if anyone has seen this and thinks the same as me but I would strongly recommend it, particularly for people who like films like Scarface, Goodfellas etc Edited August 22, 2012 by brummiemag1

Wouldn't disagree with anything you said. Won the Cesar for Best Actor and Best Director iirc. If it'd been in English, I reckon Vincent Cassell would've been up for an Oscar. luckyluke 2
Two very, very different films in the last two days: Friday - Brave - the Pixar latest - good traditional Disney fun Yesterday - God Bless America - depressed middle aged man and teenage girl go a killing spree to rid America of rude, selfish and nasty people. Happy Face 29
Were they the heroes? Surprising no-one has mentioned violent films among all the talk of shootings in America. Especially when one fella dressed as the joker to do his killing.
Lake Bells tits 1
Fast forwarded most of it. It's all been done before. Its hardly a Lord of the rings storyline, and thats not the point parky! Its the fighting scenes! If you have seen better or similar choreography before please give me movies as I will watch them.
Park Life 71
Were they the heroes? Surprising no-one has mentioned violent films among all the talk of shootings in America. Especially when one fella dressed as the joker to do his killing. It's the core discussion point on the conspiracy sites. As it's a psyops checklist paradise. I mentioned it a couple of times in here and NO. But you tend to get a fanboy plague on yer case and it ain't worth the hassles. Bruce Wayne is the dark saviour the quintisential capitalist baron doubling as saviour like in the ole days of knights and ample bosomed bodices. When Baine says Gotham is yours to the american football crowd they cower in their own self-realisation.

Tooj 17
The Lives of Others 2006 Jorman film set in East Berlin in 1984. The main plot surrounding the film involves how the Stasi have been tasked with monitoring the activity of a successful play. As you delve further into the story you find out that the Minister of Culture has a vested romantic interest in the play write's girlfriend, so this has been done purely for personal gain. It's a brilliant film and despite not much seeming to happen you're often on the edge of your seat, and it really gets you thinking about some of the choices people had to make in the socialist side of The Wall that impacted their every day lives.
