Happy Face 29
The Page Turner Classy version of the Hand That Rocks The Cradle, without the over the top violence. Enjoyed it, though it was a bit daft how the concert pianist turned into Les Dawson without her regular page turner. Hoping to see The Artist tonight. donaldstott 0
Saw Kill List and Drive over the weekend. Both promised much but ultimately under-delivered. Drive was a slightly less moronic, the fast and the furious. Kill List just ended very badly. Disappointed.
angrysteve 0
Shame, I thought it was excellent. Fassbender ruts and wanks his way through the entire film.

Happy Face 29
Made in Dagenham Not bad. But like The Kings Speech or The Queen in that I can't see why it was so highly praised (though not to the same extent). Very much a TV drama i thought. BBC quality mind, not ITV. Overall it was a good film but I got a little tired at how every single male character was portrayed as a blithering idiot. Obviously it's a film about women's suffrage but they went overboard in the gender juxtaposition. There's also a jobs for the boys(and girls) element to it as the cast is carbon copied from all manner of cockerny films such as this (Happy Go Lucky, Vera Drake etc) which the girlfriend bums. Love owt with Bob Hoskins though, great actor.
Kevin S. Assilleekunt 1
The Queen and The King's Speech are essentially monarchy-porn, which is why certain people wank themselves silly over the films. I've seen neither, but read a few articles about how inaccurate The King's Speech is in a historical sense.

Kevin S. Assilleekunt 1
*Steve Martin* I think the trailers give away too much these days. I saw the trailer to The Hangover 2, it ruined it for me--then again I had read the book.

The only thing for me was that I can't watch Geoffrey Rush anymore without picturing him in a pirate outfit and going arrr!, so I spent a lot of time watching the film smirking away at that. Not familiar with the history behind it, but it didn't hinder my enjoyment of the film. Well worth a watch tbh.

Both of the Hitchens brothers wrote about the historical innaccuracies of TKS, that's when you know it must be bad. Why wouldn't I believe you've read that? I don't believe you've read/listened to his arguments for the Iraq war because you never refer to his actual arguments when discussing his stance on that topic. Speaking of Hitch I read this the other day, thought it was pretty prettaaayy good: http://www.salon.com/2011/12/20/i_knew_christopher_hitchens_better_than_you/
