Park Life 71
Sounds like a sequel to 'The Room' It's a bit like Heat but without the glamour, mood lighting and snazzy 'A' list actors.

Ayatollah Hermione 14069
Just watched 'Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid' Newman and Redford are cool as fuck it has to be said. Love it. Some of the back and forth between them is class. Watched The Wrestler again after getting it in the HMV sale and it's still a fairly good movie. Rourke is good but not outstanding though he gets the nuances of "washed-up athlete struggling to cope with a diminshing popularity" really well and the scene where he's playing on a SNES and is totally baffled at these new fangled games is a highlight. Some cracking boobies as well which is always important.
Dolly Potter MD 0
The Town. Really enjoyed it. Affleck done good. He's a much better actor now he's older. Good director too. This and Gone Baby Gone were both very good imo. As a filmmaker he seems interested in the Boston Ethos as well, stories which incorporate Boston's tough neighbourhoods/Irish Catholic roots. My only criticism of The Town is that it underplayed, or underutilised the FBI or police angle - perhaps there's a director's cut. That could punch it to another level, alongside 'Heat' in the modern-day cops & robbers genre. Edited December 29, 2010 by Year Zero
Dolly Potter MD 0
"The American" 4.5 out of 5. Minimalist in the way of plot, and it gives you nothing in the way origins of it's main protaginists - a bit like The Hurt Locker. But it more than makes for in the way of execution, performances & suspense.

Kid Dynamite 7182
I turned it off after half an hour. Another film that cons you with the trailer
Happy Face 29
White Lightnin' Jesco White, an Appalachian mountain dancer, avenges the death of his father. Very violent, and very shocking based on a true story. If you liked Chopper give it a go. It's not as funny but he's just as much of a heed the ball. Tits going South agreed. My dad had nothing to do one weekend and saw an ad to be an extra in Kate Winslet's new HBO miniseries, Mildred Pierce. His role was bumping into her while she was getting off a bus, and apparently she was quite hairy just below her nose

Tooj 17
Predators Anyone who knows me knows that I'll happily sit through two hours of anything that has either a Predator or an Alien in it. So I was more than happy to watch this. Unfortunately the film was very average. The highlight for me being when in one swift moment a Predator rips somebody's spinal column and skull out of their body.
WordPlay 0
SALT. Was alright. Would have been a lot better if they used someone like Sienna Miller instead of Angelina Jolie. She is past her best
Happy Face 29
Kick-Ass - Best action film I've seen in years. Excellent. Shrek forever After - Fucking abysmal. Barely a chuckle raised. Born Yesterday - Perfect viewing during the wikileaks story. How an idiot (but informed) proletariat can keep the powerful honest. Rather rose tinted tbh (congress only has the odd bad egg).
