Jimbo 175
Ali - for some reason I'd never seen it and as good as it was it ended way to early for me.The post rumble in the jungle life of Ali although not as political, was just as important to the story of the champ. A colossal missed opportunity
Holden McGroin 6785
I've barely watched any due to the world cup but I did manage to sneak in Green Zone. 6.5 / 10.
Jimbo 175
Quite disappointing, no interviews with anyone involved, most of the movie footage was refillmed with "actors", can't say I'd recommend it.
NJS 4411
Star Trek (2009) I quite enjoyed it but would point out that there was a reverence for the future that was nonsensical given the fact it was an alternative history/narrative. I suppose you could argue a reverence for the characters within that alternative does give them licence for a new series though. Plus points also for not going for the obvious time travel to put everything back on course plot. I would also point out that I found the Kirk/Spock/Uhura thing slightly amusing given I watched a porn parody a couple of months ago which finished with those 3 in a threesome

Is that the best they could come up with ?

Happy Face 29
Datenight Utter shit I enjoyed it......even though it was a badly dubbed version. Nannee McPhee 2 - I had a big lump in my throat 3 times. I've not seen the first one so I don't know how much of the old ground it covered but I really enjoyed it. The Tooth Fairy - Stephen Merchant was canny funny. Happy Face 29
The Visitor A bored widower finds a muslim couple squatting in his New York apartment, becomes friendly with them and starts enjoying life a bit more. From the writer/director of The Station Agent (the bloke who played the scumbag reporter in the last season of The Wire) it has lots of similarities to that film where lonely outsiders find comfort in unlikely friendships. It goes on to cover the terrible situation whereby in America guilt is assumed (almost exclusively and apparently entirely) among terrorist suspects irrespective of evidence with little or no outrage at how much that betrays the constitution. Canny.
