Happy Face 29
Sex and Lucia - Classy porn as recommended by Alex. Late Spring - A widower convinces his daughter to Marry. Magnificently simple character study. The Color Purple - Spielberg pulls the heart strings as he does best.

Ken 119
Just about to watch Apocalypto.Nite all! Bloody Hell, its a bit abbatoir! Good mind. Its one of my favourite films, the last hour of it is just fantastic. Watched it yesterday and expected very little, but it gave me the most enjoyment out of any movies I've watched in a very long time. I don't know why it took me so long to watch it tbh. That was exactly my reaction too, I don't think I've ever been so gripped by a film before or since, although my expectation was near zero. Happy Face 29
The Ninth Gate on Channel 5 last night.Honestly I don't know what Depp is thinking about with some of the films he does. Mind you he seemed to be completely aware of how ridiculous it was from the outset. Aye, shit. He's reading these priceless books with a bine in one hand and a glass of red wine in the other. Ridiculous film.
Happy Face 29
Wall-E Disappointed overall. Picks up later on but I couldn't be doing with the robots doing nowt apart from making funny noises while performing transformer style moves for the first hour. Very few laughs too. Some great stuff that made me smile like the 2001 bits but I can't see many 10 year olds liking that. It's the same director who did my other least favourites, Nemo and Bug's Life so should've expected it.
