Dr Gloom 21760
Spider-man 3 Great effects, great action, no plot, too many badies. Disapointing, meh. i enjoyed it
David Kelly 1217
Spider-man 3 Great effects, great action, no plot, too many badies. Disapointing, meh. i enjoyed it Was massively disapointed with it after the first two, seemed to be going the way Batman went. Wings Of Desire. I had very high hopes after the last Wim Wenders film I saw (Paris Texas) but I have to say it didn't really live up to them. I found the dialogue annoying and a bit pretentious and the film was lacking in any real narrative structure. The actors were very good though, especially Bruno Ganz and Peter Falk (playing himself) but ultimiately it was a disapointing film.

I thought wings of desire was canny - but i know what you mean. when it was remade as city of angels the whole film was obviously been 'tidied up' a bit. David Kelly 1217
I can imagine what they did with it and although in some ways I think it would have been for the best but I'm sure they will done more harm than good. I should add that I didn't think it was a bad film and certainly did care about the characters but after Paris Texas which I totally loved and with it coming so highly recommended I was definitely disapointed. Happy Face 29
I've had Wings of Desire sat on my shelf for 2 years. Got it with The American Friend and that was so shit I haven't been able to bring myself to put WOD on.

WOD is definitely worth watching if you have it but I would definitely recomend Paris Texas if you've not seen that yet. Quite possibly the best film I've seen this year. Toonraider 0
Watched the end of The Proposition last night, which I've been meaning to watch for awhile. Quite a violent film from what I saw, but I think I'll try and watch the whole thing.
Guest alex
Pusher - Danish film set in Copenhagen about a drug dealer who gets into some serious debt with some very serious Serbians (i.e. genocidal types). With hilarious consequences (not really btw). It's quality.

You rent it like? The trilogy is cheap as chips... The Pusher Trilogy Hell of a way to spend a Sunday afternoon. I haven't had many drug problems, either in usage or deals, so I might be in no position to comment, but this trilogy kicked the shit out of Requiem For A Dream in my opinion. It doesn't moralise to the extend that RFAD did, doesn't insist than anybody so much as touching a drug will inevitably end up debasing themselves in the most heinous fashion. Rather, it makes a life of drugs (either using or dealing) look like the least appetising choice anyone could make without any sort of sensationalism, even the gruseome finale to part 3 is dealt with so matter of factly it brought to mind the horrible rape scene in Irreversible that I could hardly bare to watch. http://www.dvd.co.uk/DVD/Pusher-Trilogy-Pu...CID=0&CTY=
