manc-mag 1
Hostel - beneath contempt. Class man. Hostel 3 wants to be better than 2 though. I haven't seen it but that's some review all the same No words of damnation can carry the same deterrent as an endorsement from HF to be fair. Dr Gloom 21760
i actually quite enjoyed hostel for what it was. a film of two halves. first half - porn, second - slasher/horror.
Dr Gloom 21760
films i've seen recently: downfall - total class. just a bit gutted i chalked it up on dvd a week before it was on telly. 5/5 rosemary's baby - loved it. creepy and atmospheric throughout although the ending was a bit of a let down. 4/5 kung fu hustle - good cgi and amusing in places but i'd had enough about an hour in. 2/5 miller's crossing - an early-career corker from the cohen brothers. 4/

One of the best films ever made tbh. i dunno. i loved the film. it was beautifully paced and creepy in a way modern horror films aren't - mia farrow just seemed to a little too accepting of the endgame to me. i thought she'd put up a little more resistance to assuming her role as mother of satan tbh. Holden McGroin 6457
Vacancy. Not bad with a pretty limited storyline. All been done before which makes it 5/10. P.S. Beckinsale...Hubba hubba

Guest alex
Fight Club- never fails to impress The book's better (It is btw. I do like the fillum too though). Watched 'A Room for Romeo Brass' last night and I have to say I absolutely loved it. Heard a lot about Shane Meadows' films without having seen one and I'll be checking them all out after this. It's one of those dark, gritty British films that has a good mix of (black) humour and poignant nostalgia which makes you sad and want to laugh at the same time. More than a little bit of Mike Leigh about it too. Which is no bad thing.
