Jusoda Kid 1
Miami Vice - Deary Me, no plot, couldn't understand a word either of them were saying half the time and some seriously wooden acting from the whole cast. Don't waste two hours of your life watching this shit 2/
Happy Face 29
Brief Encounter Two happily married strangers meet on a train platform and engage in a nefarious relationship behind the backs of their loving families. The brazen hussy protests that nothing must come of it while the cad/rotter eggs her on to further days out together and clandestine stop overs in a seedy flat. Thankfully, it was filmed during the war so neither party give in to their lustful cravings and both return to a stifling family life in loveless marriages that will see them die unfullfilled, embittered and regretful. They don't make them like this any more. Classic. Spoke too soon, just watched In The Mood For Love which is very similar, but better.
sammynb 3355
zidane - a 21st century portrait Amazing film, the way they use the audio/music to build and change a single shot is brilliant. I walked out of the tyneside cinema after 2/3rds cos i was bored to tears. Most of the shots are of his back, arse or face! Glad to hear there is one more thing we don't agree on. Tristan + Isolde, it was ok.

Much better tbh, I really couldn't get away with Brief Encounter. I watched Narc the other night. Really dark with strong performances from Jason Patric and Ray Liota. Gemmill 44872
Narc is quality. POTC 3 is most assuredly not. Watched The Beach, Training Day, and Little Children over the weekend two. The Beach was alreet, nowhere near worth the hype, Training Day was good, but again not worth the hype, and Little Children was decent too. Bit depressing though. Brock Manson 0
Hostel II: Was it as shit as the first one? Brock, never been right about a single film, tv show, band, album, song, book, youtube performance or any other entertainment EVER! You only like it because the first hour is nothing but tits and sex (I wasn't complaining, but I prefer porn without people being butchered). It's a terrible film, which was just an excuse to cram in as much sex and gore as the MPAA would let them get away with. If it didn't have Tarantino's name attached to it, it'd be a straight to DVD movie. Not a question of taste, the movie is genuinely shit, and if you can't see that, or simply state otherwise because you don't agree with my personal taste, then you must be watching a different movie to the dross I sat through. Saw III and Hostel are more or less the same movie tbh. Surpised he loves them but hates Hostel. I've already stated on here that I didn't like Saw III, and am not keen on the idea of Saw IV, V and VI either. But I maintain the view that Saw is a great trilogy and the original will remain one of my favourite films for a considerable period of time. We've had the debate before where I've said what I liked and it has nothing to do with being a porvy bloodthirsty teen. Eli Roth had previously made Cabin Fever on a shoestring budget that went on to make an absoloute ton. He was being feted by studios left and right to make a big budget Hollywood film, even though he decided to do Hostel, a lower budget, independently financed, more personally satisfying film for him, it was never going straight to DVD simply because so many people loved Cabin Fever. The Tarantino name check might have helped the box-office, but has very little to do with the film that was made or the rating it received. In fact, it's probably an hour before you even see any gore in Hostel.

I can just picture it...Brock orginally loved Hostel. Next day in the playground: Brock (with cheesey grin): "I watched a great movie last night it was called...." Tarquin: "...oh, it wasn't that detestable Hostel was it? I had the misfortune of watching that last week. What a load of tripe" Brock: Yeah, yeah. I though it was rubbish aswell...
