Dr Kenneth Noisewater 0
Just put Terminator 2 on. Has to go down as one of my favourite films of all time. It's been ages since I watched it as well but you do forget how great it really is. Even more breathtaking at the time. Ground breaking special effects. Look at the effects in that and even the likes of the Die Hards much better than all of the over the top CGI they have nowadays. On the trailer for the new Die Hard there's this CGI scene involving a car and it just looks so wrong.

manc-mag 1
The Breakfast Club was on the other night. Should comprise at least half the modules on any film studies undergraduate syllabus tbh. Groundbreaking.
Happy Face 29
The Breakfast Club was on the other night. Should comprise at least half the modules on any film studies undergraduate syllabus tbh. Groundbreaking. Agreed. John Hughes should be held in as high regard as Scorsese & Spielberg. No-one's made a better run of films than: The Breakfast Club (1985) Weird Science (1985) Ferris Bueller's Day Off (1986) Planes, Trains & Automobiles (1987) Genius. manc-mag 1
He did Home Alone too, which is still a quality film. He was never to know what a nauseating little twat McCauley Culkin would become and escapes any criticism therefore.

Holden McGroin 6459
Half Nelson. Slow moving but quite gripping. Ryan Gosling is superb. Well worth a watch. Not sure if it has a wide release though. Edited April 26, 2007 by Holden McGroin

Happy Face 29
Just about to watch.... THE GOOD, THE BAD & THE UGLY. Make sure to turn it off at 11.30 and put Kung Fu Hustle on (Film4).
David Kelly 1217
Scarface (Original) - Tbh I prefer the remake but this original version is good too and unlike the quite slow pace of the Pacino version it really speeds along. Paul Muni isn't in the same league as Pacino but George Raft is good as his best mate 'Little Boy'.
sweetleftpeg 0
Dead Mans Shoes. Really liked it, a bit near the knuckle but that's life tbf. Taped Kung Fu Hustle last night, looking forward to watching it tonight. I've seen Shaolin Soccer which I thought was superb.
