Happy Face 29
The Prestige was class like. Best film I saw last year, and that includes The Departed and Children of Men. Aye was superb. Don't know if i'm repeating myself from earlier in the thread, but we went to see Casino Royale at the cinema, was sold out so ended up seeing The Prestige. Had never even heard of it, but it was the best film i'd seen that year. Watched the Pursuit of Happiness last night, pretty shit really. luckyluke 2
One thing that stood out for me was the accents. An American (Johansson) playing an English woman. An Aussie (Jackman) playing an Aussie. A Brit (Serkis) playing a New Yorker. All flawless. Bale's cockney sounded a bit weird coming from him as I'm used to him playing Americans (even though he's British) but was also great. Brilliant attention to detail. Bowie's accent could do with a bit of work though, although I'm not sure how many more Serbs he'll play.
Ally 0
Aye they were all excellent, I think Jackman is quality myself. What I liked was that the storyline wasn't complete until right at the very end. Only then were you like 'ahhh right'. Makes a change from all the predictable shit you get a lot of. Gemmill 46064
Eddie Murphy Delirious - "Your wife's a Bigfoot, isn't she? Isn't she, Gus? That's why the bitch's moustache is so motherfuckin' thick... 'cause you shaved the bitch down and taught her to speak. I know a motherfuckin' Bigfoot when I see one! Don't bring a Bigfoot into my home, Gus! With my children? The bitch can't talk, she can't walk a flight of steps! She's not trained well, Gus! She can *not* walk steps! I bet she climb the fuck out a tree, though, don't she, Gus? Doesn't she? But you got to not bring her around here - fuck her! And your motherfuckin' children? They're Bigfeet, too. They're half-Bigfoot, Gus, 'cause the motherfuckers is 6 years old and have Afros 17 inches long. They're little hairy motherfuckers just like their mother. Look at the motherfuckers! You know how I found out they was a Bigfoot - when I realized your kids was a Bigfoot? When I took your kids fishing last week. I put the motherfuckers in the boat, Gus, and I took the worm and I put it on the hooks. And they both sat there, and they put their poles down in the motherfuckin' boat, and slammed their faces in the water for 2 minutes! And I think, "What the fuck are these kids doin'?" Then they start moving their heads like this and the motherfuckers come up with fish! I jumped back and said, "Can you believe this motherfuckin' shit?" Then the kid took the fish out his mouth, looked at his brother and said, "Guni-gugu!" Normal kids don't do shit like that, Gus. But I'll tell you somethin', motherfucker. You can take your motherfuckin' hairy, fatass, wife-moustache-bitch out the fuck, you can go upstairs and get the motherfuckin' dog, and scoop up the shit, and take Eddie, and get these long Angela-Davis-Afro-wearing motherfuckin' kids of yours, and put them in the "Guni-gugu" mobile and get the fuck out! And if my wife don't like it, she can get the fuck out, too!" Combover: the Movie - The hair on that last bloke he meets is extraordinary. Bunny fell down the stairs. Happy Face 29
Patton - What a stark raving barnpot. Absoloutley looney toad quack. Cracking film. George C.Scott was already a legend, probably up here - , but after this the man is a god, right up here ^. Howl's Moving Castle - Excellent, at least as good as Spirited Away. rikko 20
Howl's Moving Castle - Excellent, at least as good as Spirited Away. Is til the ending, that ruins the film. Although the book is a bit like that too according to my friend... If you're after Miyazaki i'd recommend princess monoke, nausicaa of the valley of the wind, kikis delivery service and grave of the fireflies. None are as good as spirited away but they come quite close. Just watched life aquatic, love that film, especially the portuguese bowie songs. Anyway, watched 'Little Miss Sunshine' last night. Well worth a watch, Alan Arkin is class Alan Arkin must be one of the most underrated actors out there. He's regularly brilliant. The Breakup. Ok rom com with some pretty funny bits from the supporting cast. Wonderland. Val Kilmer playing 70's porn star Johnny Holmes during his involvement in the Wonderland murders. My mate recommend it and I thought it was excellent and can't believe I've never heard much about it before. Kilmer is really good (as I think he is quite often tbf). Infernal Affairs. Excellent, really good ending. I can't wait to see the departed now. Hero. Unfortunately I kept falling asleep during the adverts so I lost track of the plot but I'm not sure how much that matters when a film looks this good. Easily the most beautiful film I've ever seen. They're written directed by Isao Takahata who also did Grave of the Fireflies and My Neighbours the Yamadas Laputa is still his best work imo but then I prefer mononoke and nausicaa to spirited away Edited February 14, 2007 by luckypierre

Kevin Carr's Gloves 3981
I have a general feeling iof dislike towards film bores. It annoys me that art house films get high praise for being turgid boring crap because they have a deeper hidden meaning and there use of light with the grainy exposure of the film signifies man's existence. I like films to entertain me or being academically fulfilling.
