David Kelly 1260
I thought Sin City was way over rated but it's still quite canny and certainly an interestingly made film. I finished off watching Brick last night and I really enjoyed it. It seemed like a sort of mix of The Maltese Falcon & Millers Crossing. The fact that all of these high school kids were going on as if they were organised crime was a bit unrealistic and it did make it seem a bit like Bugsy Malone in places but if you can get over that it's a really good film. David Kelly 1260
A Very Long Engagement. Thanks to whoever recommended this as it's absolutelty brilliant. Totally gorgeous and superbly acted especially Audrey Tautou. After watching this and Amelie, Jeunet is fast becoming one of my favourite directors. Can't belive he's the same bloke who did Alien Resurrection like.

Basically if you don't like Brosnan, I don't think you'll like it because it's cheesy Brosnan-tastic. It's nothing special at all, but it's entertaining enough. @yourservice 67
Sergio Leone's Once Upon A Time In The West Forgot how much a classic spaghetti western this was,so i bought the special edition dvd By far the most iconic of Sergio Leone's spaghetti Westerns, "Once Upon A Time in the West" is also a masterpiece of cinema by any standards. Leone here plays with themes and images of the West far deeper than those of his previous "Dollars" trilogy, subverting the conventions of the Hollywood Western to show, in a sense, the "death" of the old West. Surely it's better than Rocky 5? Its probably better than 5, but its not a patch on 1-4. At least in those, despite Rocky being the underdog you could maybe see how he was a successful boxer. This new one is just ridiculous, a 60 odd year old man fighting the heavyweight champion?

It's not that much of a stretch considering George Foreman announced a fight at the age of 55...before his wife told him not to be silly and that it was time for his tea.
