I'm surprised Hollywood hasn't tried to butcher Audition by now.

The Bridge: if I'm thinking of the same doco, wasn't there footage of a bloke pacing back & forth (going through the psychological motions) near the railing, but ultimately couldn't go through with it and simply got back in his car and drove off.

I don't recall that. Not sure how they would know that he was planning on a suicide if that's what he was doing though.

There's one bit where this tit with a camera spots this lass jumping over the railing and just starts snapping multiple photos of her - first her climbing over, then her standing right with her feet on the edge about to jump. Proper ghoulish behaviour. Eventually he puts the camera down and tries to talk to her, then leans over, grabs her hood and drags her back over the railing where she gets arrested. His patter when they interviewed him was that "it didn't feel real because he was watching it through a camera lens", but it was very strange behaviour just taking photos of someone planning to jump to their death.

The Rock 8 /10

Sean Connery, Nicholas Cage and Ed Harris.

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0117500/

A renegade general and his group of U.S. Marines take over Alcatraz and threaten San Francisco Bay with biological weapons. A chemical weapons specialist and the only man to have ever escaped from the Rock attempt to prevent chaos.

Quality action adventure as it should be.

Erm . . . havent you seen Fast Five?

I love how 5'10 Vin Diesel stands nose to nose with 6'4 the Rock during their fight scene and then lashes him despite giving away about 5 stone :D He was a producer on the film funnily enough

Sanctum

Canny, but nowt special. Not too dissimilar to any rock climbing / pot hole / diving film.

The Rite

Enjoyed this like. Exorcism flick with Anthony Hopkins. Watch it if you get the chance and like that kinda thing.

Scott Pilgrim

Was ok. Bit too daft even for me. Much prefer Kick Ass.

I was going to mention that one regarding the latest transformers movie above, apparently both decent movies in spite of what's gone before in both series, with the fast and furious in particular some of the most turgid shit ever produced. I'll defo give both of them a go though, given the general good reviews.

Enjoyed it. Nothing that we haven't seen before, but Bale was superb.

Caught a bit of Holes which replaced the cancelled golf on Saturday starring a young Shia LeBeouf (or however it's spelt) and Jon Voight (laughing all the way to the bank no doubt). Fuck. Me. Gently. What a parcel :D
