Gemmill 46209
Yeah I watched it a couple of weeks ago. It's good, definitely worth a watch. It's not what I was expecting tbh, although I don't know what I was expecting.

Tooj 17
Control Even though I've seen it several times before, the ending still gets me, even before I'd seen it I knew they would play Atmosphere when Curtis hung himself.

Gemmill 46209
Gasland. A documentary about the environmental impacts (specifically to the water supply) of hydraulic fracturing as a method of natural gas extraction. Which makes it sound shit. But it's actually very good - it loses its way about about 2/3 of the way through, but the ending is good. These people, normal people living in the US, can hold a lighter to the "drinking water" coming out of their taps and it sets on fire. Watch the trailer: Definitely worth a watch. And if you want to be really scared, read this after you've watched it: http://www.guardian.co.uk/environment/2010...traction-europe

luckyluke 2
Watched the BAFTAs. King's Speech swept up. Disappointed that Firth didn't do his acceptance speech with a stammer. Sickening luvvie-in all round though, needs a cunt like Gervais to tear it up.

Sickening luvvie-in all round though, needs a cunt like Gervais to tear it up. In years to come The Kings Speech beating Inception, Toy Story 3, Social Network and True Grit to all these awards will look like Forrest Gump beating Pulp Fiction and The Shawshank Redemption...or Driving Miss Daisy beating Do The Right Thing...an absolute aberration. Speaking of which, I didn't realise Sally Menke (Pulp Fiction editor) had died this year. RIP.

I agree with the point about Forrest Gump though. I'll never know how that won.
Kevin S. Assilleekunt 1
Wait till Black Swan wins a load of Oscars, presuming it does. What a load of shite that was! Natalie Portman is supposedly extremely intelligent and academically capable, but she can't act very well. It's an up-market Showgirls.

No idea about it's Bafta nominations. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0111161/awards Do The Right Thing wasn't, but I'm not really making a point about nominated films being robbed, just any films that were patently better in the same year. I liked The Kings Speech, but it's very run of the mill.
