Tooj 17
Superman. Still the greatest superhero film for me, until Thursday that is. I can watch the intro time after time though, still get that feeling when the music kicks in.

sammynb 3342
Bullitt. How much understeer do those cars have? Understeer? Don't you mean oversteer Laz? There are two defining moments in the car chase that really make it for me. When the Charger's driver secures his belt and the passenger his oblivious and when the Charger hits the camera as it swings wide (oversteers ) around one of the corners (footage which the director originally thought was lost). Another plus is the fact we all get an opportunity to appreciate how good Jacqueline Bisset's arse was in its' prime. The chase in the original Gone in 60 seconds is almost as good (four times as long), especially considering the roads weren't closed for the shoot, it's just a shame that the flim itself is crap. Happy Face 29
Made the foolish mistake of putting the Godfather on at midnight assuming I'd fall asleep. Ended up watching the whole thing of course. Not beyond criticism like. The middle section going up to (and some way into) Michael going away is all over the shop with night and day. All judgement of time goes down the pan. And the contrived plot device which gets Sonny out in the open for the hit stretches credulity beyond reasonable bounds.

Happy Face 29
Batman Begins - I was loving it until he sent lieutenant Gordon the antidote before he was gassed, silly plot point but annoying. That's bugged me ever since, but watching it tonight for only the second time (3 years later) I couldn't see what I thought was so bad about it. Really enjoyed it all all the way through this time and might even go to the cinema for the new one. ...I suppose it was the coincidence of it all that he just happened to get two dosages and he made the choice to give one to Gordon rather than Alfred....just in case. But I didn't really mind it this time.

David Kelly 1219
Hidden (aka Cache). Quality French thriller with the lovely Juliette Binoche. Excellent film, the bit where the guy kills himself is amazing. Finally got round to watching the last few episodes of the Soprano's. Brilliant. Happy Face 29
The Godfather Part 2 The first sequel to have used the same name as the preceding film and just add "part 2". Absoloutley massive. It's funny watching it just how it pales behind The Sopranos though. Amazing film, but too short. One minute he's going to take on Cuba and the next Willi Cicci is ratting him out and he's taken to the stand. I like to ignore The Godfather part 3 and think of The Sopranos as the real follow up (which does work, given that T is named after Michael Corleone's son, Anthony ).
