ewerk 30218
I didn't think it was any different to linking to Torrent sites which seems to be ok. Fair enough then.
Jimbo 172
I didn't think it was any different to linking to Torrent sites which seems to be ok. Fair enough then. I'll be honest, I use those kind of sites all the time, but from a board point of view its just a matter of being safe than sorry, feel free to PM content like that, but don't put it on the board. ta. Happy Face 29
Early reports on Wall*E "Masterpiece. That's it. That's truth in one word. WALL*E is a masterpiece. It tells its story with economy, with little dialogue, but there is no question what is going on. It's like a Buster Keaton silent film mixed with the wonder of the original STAR WARS and the morals of the best fables, except this moral is an imperative one, and one to which we must pay attention. It's emotional, but not overly so. For children, it is instantly accessible, maybe more so than a film with more dialogue, because it's from the character's actions that the story is propelled. WALL*E and EVE and the rest of the robots are unique characters and they do it with deeds, not words." and "This film is gorgeous. The scenes in the trailer don't even approach how amazingly beautiful the film is. I teared up three times during the movie. Twice was due to the story, but one time was just from how amazingly unbelievably gorgeous the film is. And these were scenes I'd seen before at BNAT! Some of them are even in the trailers I've seen dozens of times! They were still amazing enough that I cried just from how beautiful they were." and "Thanks to Pixar, I have no choice but to go into wild, unrestrained hyperbole regarding their new film, the animated sci-fi adventure love story titled Wall-E. Ready? Here we go. Visionary. Emotional. Fantastic. A Must-See. A Thrill Ride. Romantic. Eye-Popping. Incredible. Instant Classic. The best Pixar film ever made. Let that sink in for a minute. The best. THE. BEST."

"One gay beer for you and one normal beer for me".. Started off well but didn't keep it up, I felt cheated afterwards as the plot had the makings of a good film. God I sound like I'm hard to please when it comes to films, got NCFOM to watch to night so hopefully that should be decent enough.
Happy Face 29
just watched All About Eve on film4. never watched it all the way through before. it's class! George Sanders is the shit. The Fish 10681
Going to watch the new Hulk film tonight. Hopefully Ed Norton and Tim Roth can do what Eric Bana and Nick Nolte failed miserably at; give two inhuman monsters humanity and depth.
ewerk 30218
Gone Baby Gone - Excellent effort from Ben Affleck and a great perfomance from Ed Harris. But why has Casey Affleck been getting such aclaim for his performance, it looked to me like he spent most of the film switching between the constipated and confused look. Otherwise a very enjoyable outing.
The Fish 10681
Incredible Hulk, I'd give it a 7/10 Much better than the Ang Lee version. Still not a massive fan of the Hulk character in general so it's hard to like any feature film abut the big guy. Very cool ending though.
David Kelly 1219
just watched All About Eve on film4. never watched it all the way through before. it's class! George Sanders is the shit. Reminds me, I've still got to watch Dorien Gray, at David Kelly's suggestion. You must do that, Sanders is possibly even better in it than he is in All About Eve. And that takes some doing. Did you know he killed himself (in Barcelona I think) because he got bored with life, something he'd told David Niven he would do back in the 30's! David Kelly 1219
Fast Times At Ridgemount High I don't know if it's just too late for me to watch this now and whether I would have loved it if I'd seen it when I was younger, but I didn't think too much of it at all. Far inferior to similar films such as The Breakfast Club, Dazed & Confused or Ferris Beuler's Day off.
