Stand By Me.

One of those films that slipped the net for me, just watched it for the first time, thoroughly enjoyed it, probably caught it about 17 years too late for it to have any lasting effects, but enjoyable none the less.

A really good film. Probably has a bit of added poignancy now, with what happen to River Phoenix.

agreed, it does add a certain gravitas to it, all the more so that he is the spitting image of my nephew.

Saw II.

I thoroughly enjoyed the first one, I found it both disturbing and original, but Saw 2 was a poor "no-brainer".

Watched Aliens like.

Top, top film just like the original, although it depends what mood I'm in for which one I prefer, Alien due to the suspense and claustrophobic atmosphere or Aliens with it's more action packed style, that and Bill Paxton.

"That's it man, game over man, game over! What the fuck are we gonna do now? What are we gonna do?!"

One of the many bad things about Titanic is that it stopped one of the best action directors ever from making films like this. :P

Pathfinder

You could better spend your time masturbating with sandpaper into through a hole in the lid of a jam jar filled with angry wasps

not even good enough to be called a "switch off your head and enjoy the silly romp" film, it's just plain shit.

I'm never letting my mate pick the DVD ever again.

control. i enjoyed it but it was a pretty depressing way to round off the weekend. kind of like 24 hour party people but without the laughs. curtis portrayed as more of a cnut too (probably because the script was based on his wife's book.)

Dark Days - Absolutely class. Two years in the making it is all black and white documentary footage taken by Marc Singer who lived with the homeless people who lived in the tunnels beneath Penn Station in New York. Pretty dark and depressing at times it's an amazing insight into the lives of the people down there.

Decent show. Some real characters down there. Do you reckon them two young lads with the dogs were Pork Knuckles?
