This is England - Started well then went to shite. no story. 6/10

Not for the first time I'm going to have to disagree.

A couple of my mates actually turned it off after the bit where they attended the rally and 12 year old was allowed to travel back in the front seat of the car, wouldn't happen tbh and it went down hill from then onwards.

La Haine - Excellent French film that comes off as almost a cross between City Of God & Boyz In The Hood.

La Haine is fucking class.

It's possibly even better than City Of God tbh and that's some praise!

Agreed, excellent.

What was the purpose of the cow?

Your little flag there suggests you just didn't like the portrayal of your Nazi buddies as lonely, emotionally stunted incompetents.

You need to stop looking at thins so hard. It was just unbelievable for me although the soundtrack and settings were spot on

La Haine - There's a great part of the film where the two lads are watching the boxer with the punchbag. Pans around to just one of the lads in the shot but you can still hear the punchbag being hit. Then the boxer comes into the picture but you can still hear the punches on the punchbag...

"You can't throw a holiday in the bin, there's people starving in Africa.... they'd LOVE a holiday!"

"You know what you have to do with a holiday you don't want?.... start chuffing wanting it!"

:D

"This was done by a man called Booboo.... that's not even Yogi!"

Mission Impossible 3 - Enjoyable. Liked Philip Seymour Hoffman as a baddie, and Ving Rhames was quite amusing. Used a few times to wink at the audience to say we all know this is daft and everything will be fine, but let's enjoy the ride. I did.

Talk Radio - Oliver Stone film about a controversial Dallas talk radio host whose popularity is such that his show might go national. He has a mini breakdown on air what with all the threats on his life and his inability to communicate with his ex-wife, his manager, his producer, his girfriend or anyone for that matter. People love him because he's obnoxious, and he loves that, but he hates the fact that he's like that. Canny little film.

Got Talk Radio free with the Sunday Times a while ago and haven't got round to watching it yet.

Jude Law. The best thing he's been in is Operation Good Guys.
