JawD 99
I use that screen select thing as well, its pretty good though Im running out of things I want to add to their list of what they can send me. Im on the 9.99 1 DVD at a time package and it usually works out that I get 4 per month which is cheaper than me using Box Office on Sky all the time. I watched Hostage (Bruce Willis) over the weekend which was canny in a typical Bruce Willis kinda way. Also watched one which name escapes me (damn my memory of a goldfish) with Tom Cruise where he hijacks the taxi driver for the night. Again it was canny. I went to see Superman and seem to have been one of few people that wern't that impressed. Nothing as good as the recent Batman release which is the same genre. Happy Face 29
Osama About a young Afghan girl who disguises herself as a boy (dubbed Osama) to get work to feed her family and ends up being indoctrinated by the taliban. It goes without saying that Taliban rule was bad for women and it doesn't tell you anything you don't know already. But the harsh reality of it, the stupefying ignorance and brutality of it, is brought home very powerfully. Also had a Bogart triple bill. Treasure of The Sierra Madre, To Have and have Not and They Drive By Night. But everyone knows they're class so no point saying any more. David Kelly 1214
It is fantastic but The Maltese Falcon is one of my top five films of all time. Whenever I flick onto TCM and they're playing it I have to watch it all the way through. The Big Sleep, Casablanca, Key Largo & The African Queen are all superb too. He's really good in Angels With Dirty Faces and Dark Victory too but there only small supporting roles.

Dobbs to his characters in either of those. I've got the rest to look forward to.

The Maltese Falcon and The Big Sleep are classic Bogart for me and with the Maltese falcon you get the added bonus of Sidney Greenstreet and more importantly Peter Lorre. I recomend you stop messing about on the internet and go and watch these now.

Collateral I mean, not Maltese Falcon.

The picture quality on that channel should have it banned from all homes. There's a lovely restored DVD which makes it that much more pleasant to watch. Lazarus 0
My Super Ex Girlfriend about a bloke who starts going out with a lass (who turns out to be a super hero) and then dumps her. Funniest bits are when theyre shagging and she breaks the bed (cos she's super strong) and then when he dumps her and she throws a great white shark into the 50th floor flat of his new girlfriend (cos she's totally pissed off with him). Papa Lazaru 0
Shawshank Redemption is on Film 4 at 9 bells.... 172179 Great film, but I think Midnight Express is better. 172196 The first time i saw Midnight Express many years ago, i'd missed the start of the film. I knew it was based on truth and so was wantign the bloke to get out and escape after all he'd suffered. The i see the full film next time and find out he knew fine well the laws of the country and was smuggling drugs, so it was his own stupid fault he got locked up in a prison like that!!!
