Smooth Operator 10
Ah Jesmond Picture House, got my first fingers and tops in the back row there years ago. Wasn't even 10 years old! Watched a film called red heat last week, it's an 80's porno. Quality mullets and hairy pies all round. Gemmill 46023
Did anyone watch The Child Murders at Robin Hood Hill? It's an HBO documentary - first part was on the Crime and Investigation Network last night. It's a two-parter - next part next week. Good so far. Unflinching would be the word. Gemmill 46023
Sexy Beast. Seen it before, but it was on Film4 so took the opportunity to watch it again. Ben Kingsley is fucking brilliant in it. The way he delivers his lines. Scary bastard.

manc-mag 1
Proof: Anthony Hopkins, Gwyneth Paltrow, Jake Gillenhall. Utter shit. Dark Water: Fucking abysmal.
Gemmill 46023
Dark Water is complete and utter turd like. Is Anthony Hopkins on some sort of quest to make super boring films or what? He's only ever in shit these days. Plus he's basically Hannibal Lecter in EVERYTHING. He doesn't kill people, but he does the starey thing and has the same detached air about him in everything you see. Basically he's rubbish. Watch The Human Stain for another example of Hopkins' boring cinema repertoire.

Gemmill 46023
Agreed. Basically a British actor that the yanks have latched onto and tell everyone that'll listen that "Oh. Mygod. He is like soooooo totally amazing in that film" no matter what he does.
manc-mag 1
Hopkins is so good he's bad tbh. Parody of himself now. Best performances=the Elephant Man and Remains of the Day

David Kelly 1260
I've been trying desperately to watch Donnie Darko for the last couple of nights but I keep falling asleep after 10 minutes. V for Vendetta finally came from Amazon today (what's the fucking point of pre ordering if it comes three days after it's released ) so I'll hopefully be watching that tonight.
