Dr Kenneth Noisewater 0
Bringing Down The House. It was shit. What happened to the Steve Martin that did The Man With Two Brains, The Jerk, Lonely Guy, All Of Me, Roxanne etc?

Happy Face 29
Ong bak and the warrior are thai films and they have class storylines. For example, in Tom Yum Goong/The Warrior, someone steals his elephant, so he travels to Australia to get it back 165003 The UK name is Warrior King if anyone's looking for this. Apparently it has the greatest steadycam tracking shot EVER!

Happy Face 29
Just finished watching Infernal Affairs. It was decent enough. Although I found myself wondering what it would have been like had it been English speaking. 165412 If you enjoyed that, try Election. And if you are getting into some of this asian stuff, this is a great place to start.... http://www.lovehkfilm.com/features/recommend_kozo.htm

This weekend, have seen Mean Creek - mindless stuff. Entertaining enough way to spend an hour and a half, although it's one of those where if there's nowt else in the video shop, rather than being something you'd desperately go out to get. Ghost World - taped it off Film4. Enjoyed it. Buscemi was good, and Thora Birch is cool.

sweetleftpeg 0
The man with two brains.... one of my all times faves " Dr huffuuurrhhh" 167047 One of my all time favourites as well, when Steve Martin was actually funny, good shout. The Jerk is another quality Martin film. I watched Lucky Number Slevin and Wolf Creek at the weekend. Enjoyed Lucky Number Slevin, despite the fact I think Josh Hartnett is in the Brad Pitt wooden pretty boy school of acting. Is it just me, or is Bruce Willis just getting paid to say his lines these days without actually acting? As for Wolf Creek, it was alright, although my mate thought it was 'superb' which I thought was a bit ott.
Gemmill 46023
I've seen Lucky Number Slevin, and I know what you mean about Willis. Just deadpans everything. I thought Wolf Creek was good though - the bloke was properly scary with that mental laugh when they're round the camp fire.

Guest alex
Scarface - saw it years ago and thought it was good, watched it over the weekend and I have to say, it's pretty average tbh. A canny bit of it is totally unconvincing and Pacino is just going through the motions.

Gemmill 46023
I would agree with that like. It's one of those films that's cool to have seen when you're a kid, but when you watch it nowadays it's really dated and some of the performances from the bit-part actors are horribly wooden. EDIT! Scarface, not One Hour Photo. Edited July 31, 2006 by Gemmill

David Kelly 1260
I watched Total Recall on ITV4 on Saturday night. One of my favourite Arnie films behind the Terminators and Predator (he really should have stuck to sci fi!). I also started watching the Machinist last night but I had to turn it off when the bairn came out of the bath. Fuck me it seems bleak and the bit where Micheal Ironside gets his arm severed in the machine is a bit grusome.

It's almost an anti Godfather and it works brilliantly as a story of 80's greed.
