The accumulators are just a standing deal that all the bookies have got going, so they're always there if you want to take advantage of them - the standard deal is place a 5 fold accumulator and if one leg loses we'll give you your money back as a free bet.  There's a couple of ways of doing them - you can place accumulators on matches that end one after the other and lay them off sequentially as the results come in (it's possible to lock in a profit every time this way), or else you can place accumulators with no lay bet and rely on the EV playing out over time.  I did these for a couple of months (the no lay version).  I kept meticulous records, cos I'm a dweeb but also cos I wanted to see what having away teams as selections did etc. Anyway I definitely ran well but that worked out at £461 profit from 57 accumulators.

In terms of what percentage you have to be doing of those to turn a profit though, none really.  The lad I mentioned before that's been doing this is too scared of the no-lay ones and can't be arsed with the lay sequential ones (it's like having a job), so he hasn't done any. Coming into the weekend there's always deals come up on the football that weekend (mostly the televised matches), there's racing stuff every day, and some of the bookies just have standing "free bet clubs" that you can qualify for weekly.

Cheers.

Got to be tempting to automate those sequential layoffs?  Or make it for other people. ;)  Would the exchanges even care about bots?

The exchanges positively encourage bots. There's some unbelievable software for Betfair that will place bets pre event based on various conditions etc. It can do stuff like place a back bet and place a lay bet once the price reaches a certain level (or vice versa), so you can scalp markets. The under and over goals market is a good one - if there's a match where you don't expect many goals, back U2.5 and have an automatic offsetting lay placed once the market moves a certain number of ticks.

The only problem with the accumulator ones is that the result of the previous match determines whether you lay or not, and Betfair don't provide a feed for scores. Otherwise aye that would be a dream!

Aye, I was surprised they didn't exist when I did a quick google; was obviously searching the wrong keywords.

Would be very easy to scrape the results from another source but not sure how you'd plug that into this bot.  It should be doable either way, just might be a pain in the arse.

I went to see Terminator 2 in 3D the other day.  The 3D was very well done I thought but as usual I didn't think it added anything to the film at all (which of course was already brilliant).  Was just nice to see it in the cinema more than anything as I missed it when it originally came out.

Yes, another good one.

I think Schindler's List, and to an extent the Pianist, are important films to watch once.

Bit harrowing though. Not really the genre to return to on a Friday night with popcorn and beers.

SPR is basically a remake of Kelly's Heroes once you get past the landing scene.  It's perfect popcorn and beers fodder.

Saw IT last night.  Not really sure what to make of it.  I think I preferred the Tim Curry and John boy Walton one.  Although it's a long time since I watched that and this one focuses on just the kids part of the story.  It sort of comes accross as Goonies but with more actual horror which should be really good but I think all but one of the scares were exactly where I expected them to be so I didn't find it as tense as it should be.  Still it's pretty decent.

I probably get to the cinema twice a year now if Im lucky but we managed to see IT today.

I enjoyed it although it may as well have been a feature length Stranger Things episode. I got offered a free DVD off Sky so I've ordered the original as well to compare

I found the lass, the fat lad and the lad with the stammer decent enough actors. The speccy one, sickly one and curly haired one were pretty by the numbers though. The speccy one in particular was supposed to be the comedian of the group and he just didn't pull off his lines

I quite enjoyed the specky kid.  Tbh I thought they all did a decent job but I thought the Jewish kid had pretty much no purpose in the film and the way the black kid (I'm not just attacking minorities here) sort of come into the group out of nowhere wasn't very well handled.  The other characters were better realised.

I also felt that although it was set in the 80's, the town felt much more like the 50's setting of the original novel.

Went to see Mother last night.  I'm tempted to say it's a pile of shite but that's probably not fair because its well acted and pretty well made.  Unfortunately it's complete bollocks.  It starts off quite creepy but then gets totally ridiculous to the point where I was laughing at bits of it.  I'm told it's a love or hate film and while I could understand people hating it , I can't for the life of me understand why anyone would love it other than to try and suggest they 'get it' and feel superior over everyone else.
