I agree he'll never be the explosive/dynamic type but I don't think it makes him a limited player. Scholes was similar I guess.

He's not in the same class but he reminds me of Scholes in the way he often seems to find space on the pitch

I was wondering if that was the case because I don't recall it (which isn't saying much tbf).

There was an incident towards the end of his time where he was arguing with fans during a match but that's all I can think of. He also looks like an extra from 'Pusher' (the original version)

he has his flaws. he clearly hasn't got the best engine in the world, he's prone to the odd moment of madness, and an be ineffective against teams which press him high, but he has to go to the world cup.

i love how he's always looking for the ball and he's always looking to pass the ball forwards. he's unlike any other england player in that respect. he would have been an ideal player to bring on against iceland. when a team is sat back defending a lead is when he comes into his own.

What I love most about JonJo (and there are many, may things) is that he very rarely wastes a ball, always looking forward, even with his headers.

He's enough close control too to always find that bit of space to make the forward pass.  Though I agree with @Alex that he has trouble with high pressing teams.

Unreal if England don't take him to Russia.  Can he play for Ireland?  Because he looks and acts like a proper knacker.

Aye as a plan b him and Vardy are potentially a fuckin dream. If Jonjo nicks 3-4 goals before the end of the season he"ll be hard for anyone to ignore...anyone who isn't Southgate that is... :glare:
