Gemmill 46030
He's taken time out from defending his mate (one for the Souness haters there ) to write an article all about how just because Rio Ferdinand played in midfield yesterday against Wolves, doesn't mean he'll play there in the World Cup. Now THAT is what you call insight.
Shearergol 0
We should take him on as a defensive coach tbh

Guest alex
Exclusive! I think he'll be starting alongside Terry at centre-half in the World Cup, especially given the way Campbell seems to be struggling slightly for form. I think Ferdinand can probably play there, but there are others (Carrick, Parker etc.) better at the job.
sweetleftpeg 0
I've been saying for years that Ferdinand would make a better holding midfielder than a centre half. It took Alex Ferguson a few years to believe me. I'm going to text Fat Fred for the NUFC job.
Bombadil 0
Yes, but can Ferdinand really play as a holding midfielder or is his best position in defence? Hansen isn't really clear about it...
