This is obviously  out of date.

Edit: ahh, unless the most recent match is on the left. Is that usual?

You're right, it's out-of-date as the Man United victory is shown as 2 games ago.

Jamaal Lascelles: the first ten games of the season, where Lascelles played the 90, we got 14 points. For the next six, when he was injured, we got 1 point. Since he's returned, we've picked up 17 points from 14.

So 1.3 points per game WITH Lascelles, 0.2 points per game WITHOUT. To put that into context, we'd be on for 49 points over a season with Lascelles playing. And in that spell without him, we had some very winnable games - WBA away, Watford, Everton and Leicester at home.

I do think the entire backline's looking a lot better now like. Dummett's a huge improvement at left-back, Lejeune thrives next to Lascelles and Dubravka's proving a bit of a revelation.

Yeah, I was talking to a mate about the difference Lascelles makes yesterday (without stats to back it up). Guaranteed he will be sold to a "big" side next season for 40 million or something.

Good result but there's no way that we'll play a side as bad as them again this season. They were shambolic but, being fair to us, we picked them off which is something we hardly ever do.

Huddersfield isn’t as bad - but poor enough. And we do host West Brom the end of April.

It was a good goal but on MOTD they were wanking over it as goal of the season.

Route one football at its finest. ;)

Certainly no goal of the season, but the precision by Mahrez was quality. I can see why ‘Citeh’ are prepared to pay through the nose for him.

Still think he's going under the radar a bit though which is helping us.

Yup, he’s the exact type of character and player that you could build a really strong, competitive side around, the problem is we have Mike Ashley as owner.

Fully expect the lad won’t get any sort of look in for England until he leaves us as well.

Should be starting, I was telling to poncey little man utd fan at work about how he's better than that dirty wrestling cunt Smalling, who would get a red every time he played if he played for anyone else, and he was having none of it. Then proceeded to tell me that he was "already on his way down" vs us for the dive that lead to our goal.

Agreed, there’s no argument whatsoever for starting a player like Smalling over Lascelles. I’d also take Lascelles over players that have recently had a look in like Maguire.

Lejune also seems to be hitting some form. I was 50/50 on him during his early run in the side last year.

He struggled coming back after the injury, he looks a fair bit leaner now than he did in those first games after that.

I am surprised at how well Diame looks beside Shelvey.  Merino was great at the beginning of the season, but he must have been hanging around Perez too often as he seemed to trip over his shoelaces quite a bit.  Diame offers strength, and for the most part, has made the right decisions playing in the middle.  Don't know if he can progress in this role going forward, though we shall see.

Diame has been a pleasant surprise. I thought he was pretty dog shit but I guess  he is just a dog shit number 10. Looks PL quality playing deeper central mid. Keeping merino and Hayden out on merit.

Pellegrino has been sacked.

I feel a bit for Pellegrino and Soton fans tbh. Selling players every year. No investment. Owners seemingly just wanting to extract every penny and give nothing in return...

All sounds very familiar...
