Exactly. As a side note, Southgate has been told he’s keeping the job no matter what. So, what, we’re supposed to hope that he magically learns things like “play players in their right positions” in the highes pressure environment imaginable? He’ll be in an adult nappy by this time next year

I can't think of a less qualified England manager. Considering the likes of Hodgson, Allardyce and McClaren have been in situ in the recent past that says a lot.

 Stealing that, what a perfect summation of a truly negative squad selection.

Go ahead  FFS though, it really does sum it up. You could have about 3 injuries to players who play in one of the positions he covers and he still wouldn't get a start

From a club point of view glad Shelvey and Lascelles hasn't gone.

Im not, clear indicator to both that to play for England they need to be elsewhere, especially Lascelles who will see a shite Jones whose blushes have been spared by his keeper and incredible number of times and a busted Cahill playing in his position and ought to be thinking he has to move this summer when offers inevitably come.

I'm going to fucking love it when that cunt Alli gets sent off.

If he doesn't he could be one of the reasons, along with Young and Vardy, why England could win the competition through penalties in open play, the diving cheating bastards.Fuck the national team.

I don't know; the club looks okay to me.  Raheem Sterling and Jesse Lingard have been great for their clubs this season.  Deli Ali can be great if he wants to.  You have Harry Kane up front that you can link with Vardy or Rashford.  The back four have the physical tools to deal with anyone it's just how they play as a unit.  Anything can happen in a tournament.
