Can she sue him across international boundaries? It really is fucking ridiculous that the richest man in the World is an insomniac narcotic troll. Kid Dynamite 7262 Posted Friday at 14:34 Share Posted Friday at 14:34 He lost the plot a long time ago, but he's gone full Parky in the last 3 months. He's got a "Free Tommy" tweet pinned to his twitter page

Aye, that diver he labelled a paedo was able to sue him.
Renton 22241 Posted Friday at 14:45 Share Posted Friday at 14:45 Just now, ewerk said: Aye, that diver he labelled a paedo was able to sue him. Aye, but he wasn't a paedo. Are you as confident Jess Phillips isn't a genocidal rapist enabler? She should get legal involved but you know Starmer won't let it happen. I am still yet to see any proof that musk is as intelligent as his followers claim - You could take his name out of this tweet and tell me it was trump and I'd honestly believe you. Even the capitalisation is identical.
Rayvin 5459 Posted Friday at 15:13 Share Posted Friday at 15:13 I'm wondering if he's trying to bait people on free speech or something here. Frankly though, if he is in any way officially associated with their government, we expel their fucking ambassador over this shit.
Renton 22241 Posted Friday at 16:17 Share Posted Friday at 16:17 He's supporting the AfD in Germany too isn't he? I mean far fro me to suggest it, but maybe shit stirring like this in a country with a serious problematic past with the far right perhaps isn't a good idea? Whatever his motivations, Musk is human scum incarnate.
Rayvin 5459 Posted Friday at 16:25 Share Posted Friday at 16:25 Does feel like all civil service accounts on twitter should close. Whether they go to Bluesky or not, I don't know, but at minimum they should be off Twitter. See if we can get some wider movement going beyond that maybe but Musk has to be ostracised for this shit sooner or later.
Renton 22241 Posted Friday at 16:47 Share Posted Friday at 16:47 A small thing maybe but I've just deleted my twitter/x account. I never posted on it but I'd rather have nothing to do with Musk and the more people who delete their accounts and don't buy his shit cars the better.

Kid Dynamite 7262 Posted Friday at 21:31 Share Posted Friday at 21:31 It's a good point like. The gammons didn't like the European courts meddling in our politics, but are quite happy for a fucking car manufacturer to have a say

Gemmill 46774 Posted Saturday at 07:08 Share Posted Saturday at 07:08 Taking to twitter to tell the owner of twitter what a naughty boy he is. Wonder how much reach those tweets will have beyond people that already agree with them and who also shouldn't still have an account on there. I suppose at least he can't argue validly that the comments didn't come to his attention, given it's his platform. There's a lot of worthwhile people on there who haven't yet migrated to Bluesky or similar. Certainly if the Government, BBC, etc led the way by closing their accounts it would help an exodus. I know I'm still there but only show I can show LTA how to post links here. Once we can do the same from Bluesky I'll be gone.
Gemmill 46774 Posted Saturday at 07:57 Share Posted Saturday at 07:57 Those comments coming to his attention is neither here nor there. It's not like he's open to constructive criticism and will change course. That site is his platform. The only thing that can bring the platform down is if it has so few users that it becomes unviable. You do that by leaving, not by hanging around to slap him on the wrist. The truth is that the likes of Ianucci promote their work on twitter and they dont want to give that up.

Easy for me to leave, but if I'm a journalist whose work partly relies on it and I have thousands of followers, the threshold is higher (but increasingly being met).
Gemmill 46774 Posted Saturday at 11:23 Share Posted Saturday at 11:23 What did you leave for then, you incurably argumentative cunt? Users are the lifeblood of any social media site. The fewer there are, the less interesting that site becomes, which causes others to drift away. The fewer users, the fewer eyeballs to look at advertising, which cause ad revenues to go down etc. People leaving twitter reduces twitter's viability.

I had like 6 followers, probably all bots, never checked. A lot of these journalists have 10s of thousands of followers they actively communicate with which has taken years to foster. I can see why its harder for them, that's all. I'm not going to condemn someone who is part dependant on the platform for their livelihood. The money involved is utterly irrelevant to him. He can still direct the right wing crowd who are not leaving. He'll just have fewer targets to troll, which is something at least.
Dazzler 10615 Posted Sunday at 15:06 Share Posted Sunday at 15:06 Musk has officially turned on Farage. This will be an interesting one. Most of the fuckers that were happy with Musk’s interference with British politics might suddenly change their minds.
Gemmill 46774 Posted Sunday at 15:16 Share Posted Sunday at 15:16 Must saying Reform needs a new leader and clearly favours Rupert Lowe. Would be fucking hilarious if there was a coup and Lowe took over.
