Newcastle United: Club Sold To PCP - Official

“Newcastle is at this very important stage in its history and if we take our foot off the gas now it’s not going to help the club fulfil its ambition. We won’t get in the way, we’ve got to let people do their jobs and support them, but we can do more work on the community side, investing in Newcastle, the academy, the foundation. Our frustration at the moment is that there aren’t enough hours in the day.”

“There’s a lot to do,” Ghodoussi says. “There are a lot of people we need to hire.”

“There’s so much,” says Staveley. “I want to do everything now, this year. We can’t.”

“It’s like with anything,” Ghodoussi says. “It just takes time.”

The whole article is unbelievable really.

The outlook for the club is genuinely beyond anything I could ever have thought possible, and I've always been a bit of a dreamer.

They are obviously very skilled at the P.R. and know the right things to say, but fuck me I got a little emotional  reading that

He’d be talking about Bruce I’d he’d won a couple at WBA. It’s really fucking strange behaviour for at sports journalist at a paper like the telegraph. It’s like he can’t help himself. If things go anything like planned and he (inevitably) is in the limelight more, I can’t see his employers being too keen on his antagonistic approach to our fans on social media. Tl:dr fuck off you baldy toucher

I am pretty sure Staveley must said to him that he is an irritating cunt in the past.

His obsession to be controversial when speaking about her is rather strange. Especially if you compare it with his eulogies to defend his jurassic friend.

Aye when she was trying to resurrect the deal he was doing a proper hatchet job on her iirc. Claiming she was a total fraud, the deal was completely dead etc. Obviously knows his stuff

Saying “why can’t we be like…” is very different from saying “we will be…” but I’m past thinking Edwards has the brain power to comprehend that (I know he’s likely being a wum but I ignore that now and just take the assumption it’s his actual beliefs as he’s offered no sensible commentary on anything to give me any reference point besides his usual bilge).

Nine Bar will be shut for "essential maintenance" between 7-18th March 2022.

Any money that'll re-open as 'Shearer's Bar' on the 19th!

They’ve already announced the renaming to that haven’t they?

Yep - Ghodoussi mentioned it in the interview in The Athletic but there was no mention of timescales. 2 weeks "essential maintenance" does seem in keeping with a refit / rebrand.
