That rumour has been put on here before. In the age of social media, where pure bullshit becomes fact, who knows. I mean, it seems unlikely, but Ashley was another billionaire who consistently fails to do his due diligence every time he buys a business.

it's a social media rumour/lie that i'm choosing to believe.

makes you think

I heard a rumour, dunno if true or not, that Boehly didn’t know Chelsea wouldn’t automatically play champions league football every season before the takeover

I like it. That’s a fact. I also can’t stand Chelsea. Another fact.

I’ve heard that reported before too. It was when they failed to qualify the year we did / directly after he’d bought them I think

Sky sports news top news story at the top of the hour is sound bites from 14th placed Man Utd manager's press conference for their game TOMORROW with 20th placed Southampton. Going to go all MLF on yo asses here but just for one nano second, imagine Arsenal are about to play Spurs in a London derby trying to keep in touch with leaders Liverpool, Newcastle United are looking to go fourth just behind potentially Arsenal and Forest. Moyes is managing Everton for the first time in over a decade and this was happening TONIGHT. Then imagine if Palace were 14th instead and playing 20th placed Southampton tomorrow. I'm guessing the Palace manager's press conference might not, (just bear with me here), might not be the top news story? Just a hunch, like.

Aerobics Oz Style finished years ago so he has had to resort to knocking one out over the SSN presenters.

There was a Scottish lass on who was gorgeous and it's not something I watch a lot. For obvious reasons.

You guys are looking the business right now. only seen snippets, but fighting for a CL place is exactly where you should be right now imo. Neither overachieving nor underachieving at this point in the journey i'd say.

Think you're a bit too far away for a title push though.

Isak is looking electric. happy days eh?

Aye, we are. I think Bournemouth will be a big test on Sat. We never do well against them.

What's happened at Man City? The blue chip players look like they lost a few % (Walker, KDB, Grealish, Gvardiol). You look vulnerable at the back for the first time in decades.

simples

a major rebuild is due

our defense can't get fit.

Stones is as big a loss as Rodri,

Dias struggling to get fit, comes back too early out of necessity and picks up another knock.

Same with Ake and Akanji.

Now they're all unfit too.

Walker has his own problems and looks gone.

Rico isn't a defender.

Gvardiol isn't enough.

our midfield needs an overhaul. it has no legs.

Rodri out.

Kovacic fine in possession but too slow out of it.

Gundogan legs gone with age (our fault not his), a wise old head isn't enough in this league.

KDB legs going and his powers on the wane. Capable of big moments but more errors in his game now.

Less said about Nunes the better

Bernardo tries but he's being worked too hard and isn't up to it

attack doesn't have the control it used to

Doku and Savio are great but give the ball away too much which Pep must hate.

Jack struggling to get and stay fit

Foden has off the pitch issues, i don't know what they are but some posters reference them.

Bobb back in training

Haaland just doesn't get the service atm.

Doesn't sound like a project for a bloke that's just extending his contract by a year. Do you think he might go in the summer?

Unless you take out the commas around "where the Fodens live". Then it makes more sense, as long as you're happy with the idea of a neighbourhood writing a letter.

i don't think Pep wants to leave HIS club whilst they're down. professional pride and all that.

at the same time, his separation from his missus might put a spin on things. not sure which way though.

i think pep wants to do a rebuild and then he'll leave.

i also don't think he'll leave until the PL case is done along with any appeals if needed

the question is, what next for Pep?

not sure he fancies club management so maybe international management?

maybe he'll do a Klopp

maybe he'll step upwards at the City Group.

 How do you even get invited to talks to avoid a possible point reduction ffs?

Can we all pull mad shit and just chat our way out of it?

A fine will DEFINITELY deter clubs who had money BEFORE 2023 to keep their houses in order. Anyone else? Sorry but a points deduction will be the absolute best and only deterrent.

out of interest what's the going rate for 1 premier league point, £1m, £10m, £25m ?

is it possible that City could join those talks. we wouldn't mind drawing a line under things with a paltry fine.

About a million to two million I think?
