I don't get all this wanking over Cole Palmer. Yes, he's a good player and has 22 goals and 11 assists this season but 9 of those goals were penalties. If you take those away then he's had a marginally better season than Anthony Gordon but to listen to the media you'd think he's the second coming of Messi.

Ex-Man City, currently Chelsea, English - of course he's the second coming of Messi - until he stuffs up in the Euros and gets sent off. 🙂

Also, what's happening with Man City and Girona both being in the CL next season?

The rule does seem pretty pointless. Basically you have to show that at "some level" the clubs are independent of each other.

We're certainly not the first multi club organization to be allowed to compete.  As an example,RB Leipzig and Red Bull Salzburg have been deemed okay for years.

That's my only grounds for justification tbh. Also i think we "only" own 49% of Girona, but i'm not 100% on that as i haven't seen the paperwork.

Can we not just buy half the stars in the Saudi league for buttons while flogging hem Miggy, Wilson and Longstaff for ÂŁ300m?

Why continue to play by the rules when everyone else takes the piss?

Man City have brought legal action against the Premier League to get rid of the related party transaction rules.

Have I ever told you what a great bunch of lads you all are, @LondonBlue?

Surely the PL need to put a ban on these shady sponsors with dubious human rights abuses? They should temporarily ban them until the next PL meeting to ascertain the matter...

(Can't imagine the BBC or others missing out an opportunity to link the bank to the club they sponsor had it have been another club somewhere else?)

There’s been some dodgy stuff associated with them before, hiding money from regimes like Libya and Iran which they got fined for. As someone pointed out at the time LFC got fuck all stick for it whereas NUFC got loads of negative press when Wonga were our kit sponsors.

it fucking better be us.

while I appreciate they probably haven't wanted to appear to be rocking the boat too much less than 3 years in, I can't help but feel the saudis have been acting like a bunch of fucking pussies up to now.

it's time our ownership put their necks on the block.

Villa too perhaps? I think a few might back it as it’s fucking obvious the rules are there to insulate the clubs who regularly finish in the top 4. Although dues it really matter on the numbers who agree if the legal challenge is successful?

TBF Nketiah has played nearly 40 games this season for them

And half of his total goals came in one match. 6 goals in 37 appearances is extremely shite for the second best team in the league. Tony Adams must be back on the peeve.

daily Mail running with the story that Gail Platt is quitting Corrie. Amazing career and has been a great character but when was she married to Micky Quinn?

There’s not a lot to argue with here. Remember when after Abramovich waltzed into Chelsea 20 years ago and the arseholes in the media all clucked “ooh the days of millionaire PL owners are over….you’ve got to be a BILLIONAIRE nowadays!”?….. well here we fuckin are lads. Of course NUFC got their billionaire, and he turned out to be fuckin useless. And now we’ve got our nation state owners and they’ve currently got their hands tied behind their backs due to rules brought in by the PL members to stop clubs “doing a Portsmouth” for fucks sakes the disingenuous bastards, half a dozen of whom were perfectly happy to sign up for the ESL two summers ago and destroy the English near 150 year old football pyramid . Just to say what Man City are attempting  is fuckin nauseating but it is only the logical conclusion of what Premier League is.
