Anyone read this?

£0.99 on kindle at the mo

Any good? Or are you asking us? I hate it when you get a football book and it's like reading a dry as fuck text book. Worried it might be one of those.

Sounds like Steve Cooper has been sacked by Forest with Nuno Espirito Santo expected to replace him. I know they've had a shocking run of late, but I'm not sure I properly understand this one - think they might live to regret it.

In laws are Forest fans and are fuming about Cooper being sacked.

They're sitting 17th having won one match in the last 13. The players haven't turned on him, neither have the fans so ultimately it's got to be down to him.

Depends who you talk to but a lot on conjecture that the players did turn on him and blamed him. It's a crazy call if you ask me.

I'd take any and all reports that he's going to Man United with a pinch of salt. There will be a presumption in the press that Man United can just take him off us, cos half of them are either fans or just straight up enamoured with them.

Until there's something concrete coming from the club that confirms he's going, I'm just gonna ignore it.

I get why Man U is an attractive proposition to a bloke such as Ashworth. The chance to reshape a massive club which has fallen away  a bit.

But he’s badly got started with us, has he? Wonder if he’ll end up negotiating a big pay rise out of this. It’s the sort of thing I could see him taking in a couple of years but isn’t he going to want to oversee us winning something?

I don't see the attraction personally. He's got an open cheque book here (within FFP), one of the best young managers around, a good squad, a bigger stadium on the way.

Man Utd are a busted flush. The wages that the likes of Hojlund, Sancho, Martial, Maguire, Varana, Cesmiro, Wan Bissaka etc are on means they can't sell them to anyone willing to match their wages. They've got a shite manager, decrepit stadium and are dropping like a stone

Aye, more of a blank sheet of paper here. Massive problems to unpick at Man United, and if The Athletic Man United journos are to be believed they're right up against the buffers in FFP.

BUT! It's Man United. It's about as big as it gets in this country.
