Has Joey Barton damaged her career? Or is she just a bad pundit? I guess the latter never entered her head.

 

To have a go at Ian Wright so being a pundit on women’s football says it all. She’s more concerned with him eating into her airtime than looking at what having a prominent pundit such as Wright does to boost the women’s game.

It's a classic example of positive discrimination. Barton is a fucking arsehole - both in general, and if this particular situation - but there's no getting away from the fact she's a shockingly bad pundit who appears quite keen to employ her spat with Barton to mask just how shit she is.

Positive discrimination certainly gave her the opportunity as she was one of the first female pundits on TV but it couldn't keep her there once people realised there were other women out there who actually know something about how to analyse a game of football.

I've always wondered why louise taylor never pops up on tele with her insightful and pertinent observations on football.
