I think I had us winning most games

but losing to arsenal and Villa and drawing with palace. We’re bound to drop a few points. I hoped 5-6 wins would be enough

but we might need another run like we had in December/Jan because of how congested it is

If Isak stays fit and not flogged for 90 minutes every game we get CL football, anything else and it's up in the air, we desperately need an alternative to Isak to keep him fit and refreshed now that it's plain that Wilson's top level PL days are behind him.

We have the mad Danish bastard, but Howe would rather put Wilson up top despite him running like he has two brand new prosthetic legs and scabs on the stumps.

Hope reckons that if we don't make CL, there won't be much made available to spend in the summer*. 

 

So let's hope the sponge-dicks predicting us to finish 6th are wrong. 

 

*If he's right, then it's fucking ridiculous. We have to spend to close the gap to top 5 and become CL regulars. If we keep not spending because we don't make CL, we'll fall further back.

I wouldn't be too happy if I was Ciggy judging by the uncharacteristic comment from Howe about his long term future being uncertain or up in the air. I wonder if he's been twisting about not playing? I haven't heard that. He's been largely dogshit when called on this season mind, but he looks devoid of confidence and it's not easy coming on for bit part of games.

it's impressive that longstaff managed to start so many games since the takeover. the players he's competing for starts with all have a higher technical ceiling, so credit to him for forcing his way into the side and staying there on merit for several seasons. deep down he must have known this day was probably coming.
